VARU by Atmosphere *****

The resort is located on the northwestern edge of the North Malé Atoll, surrounded by a dreamlike sandy beach. The island measures 518 m x 244 m. The house reef, known as a meeting point for Manta Rays, invites exploration. The transfer time from Malé airport is approximately 40 minutes by speedboat.

The luxury resort offers a total of 108 modern villas and suites. VARU means "life in abundance, strength, resilience and authenticity" in the local Dhivehi language. Maldivian tradition meets clear, contemporary design. Amenities include a friendly reception area with a reception desk and various shops. For culinary delights, there are four different restaurants, including one with modern interpretations of Maldivian specialties, an Over Water Mediterranean restaurant, a Grill restaurant, a pool bar, and an overwater bar.

The Beach Villas are approximately 75 m² (including outdoor area) and feature a semi-open bathroom with a bathtub, shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe/slippers, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV with surround sound system, CD/DVD player, iPod docking station, minibar, coffee/tea maker, safe, and a furnished terrace with direct beach access.

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, but larger (approx. 94 m² including outdoor area), located on one of the three jetties and additionally featuring an approximately 49 m² sun deck with direct access to the lagoon.

Similar to the Beach Villas, approximately 90 m² (including outdoor area), including a private pool (approx. 10 m²) on the terrace.

With the same amenities and size as the Water Villas, including a private pool (approx. 10 m²) on the terrace.

The VARU PLAN
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the all-day dining restaurant. Enjoy a combination of a rich buffet, live cooking stations, theme nights, and BBQ. From 4 PM to 6 PM, various snacks are served at the Main Pool Bar. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as champagne, beer, whiskey, spirits, wine, various cocktails, fresh juices, milkshakes, soft drinks, mineral water, tea, and coffee are available at the respective bar or restaurant. The minibar is replenished twice daily with selected soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and snacks.
Culinary experiences depending on the length of stay:
- One lunch or dinner at one of the three specialty restaurants, including drinks from the VARU Plan All-Inclusive menu
- Stay of 4-5 nights: two meals
- Stay of 6-7 nights: three meals
- Stay of 8-10 nights: four meals
From a stay of 4 nights:
• Sunset fishing once per stay (weather permitting)
• Choice from changing excursions > One excursion per stay

Fully equipped gym, non-motorized water sports (windsurfing & sailing, catamaran, canoe, stand-up paddle), and snorkeling equipment.

Hotel-independent transfer information:
Speedboat: Operation for approx. arrival/departure from 5 AM to 11 PM // Domestic (Domestic flight): Operation approx. for arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
With seaplane transfers, there may be 1-2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside the above times, in case of bad weather, or longer waiting times upon entry, a stopover in Malé may need to be booked.
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location) and currently mostly domestic flights are only operated during the day. Therefore, a stopover in Malé may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on site (approx. USD 5 per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat.

In the Maldives, washbasins or bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For a booking of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may be only 1 or 2 large beds available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that for 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child has to sleep in the parents' bed.
