Location
The Valamar Tamaris Hotel is situated on the Lanterna peninsula, approx. 13 km from Porec. During the summer season, bus and boat connections to the town of Porec are available daily. The sea with its pebble, rocky, sandy beach and bathing plateau (sun loungers and umbrellas available for a fee) is located approx. 100 m away.
Facilities
The hotel has 313 rooms on four floors with two elevators in the main building, as well as 108 suites and villas in the annex buildings Casa Agava, Casa Palma, and Tamaris Villas. Facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel restaurant, à-la-carte restaurant by the beach (June-September), Istrian Tavern (June-September), pool bar and lobby bar, both with terraces, and a freshwater swimming pool with water features and a water slide, where sun loungers, sun umbrellas, towels, and showers are included. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.
Accommodation
Superior Double Room (bookable on request only)
The rooms (DSU) are located in the main building and are equipped with shower/WC, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, hairdryer, Wi-Fi (free), minibar (for a fee), safe, and a balcony. Optionally bookable with single/child occupancy (1DS).
Superior Sea Side (bookable on request only)
With the same facilities as the Superior double rooms, these rooms are located on the sea side and also have a balcony (SMS). Optionally bookable with single/child occupancy (1MS).
Superior Family Room (bookable on request only)
These consist of two Superior double rooms with a connecting door and a balcony (F2U).
Superior Family Suite (bookable on request only)
The family suites (approx. 38-40 m²) are located in the annex buildings Casa Agava (2FF) and Casa Palma (ASF) and consist of a bedroom and a living room. They are equipped with shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning/heating, safe, smoke detector, direct-dial telephone, Wi-Fi, LCD satellite TV with children's program, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony.
Villa Sea Side with Balcony or Terrace (bookable on request only)
The villas are located in the annex building Tamaris Villas and feature 2 bedrooms and a living room with a sofa as well as 2 bathrooms (1 with bathtub and 1 with shower). They are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-fridge, kitchenette, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as a terrace or balcony, and are located on the sea side (V2).
Villa Premium Sea Side with Terrace
With similar features to the sea side villas, the Premium villas feature a terrace facing the sea and are 55m² in size. The (V12) are equipped with a bedroom with 2 single beds, a living area with a sofa bed, and a bathroom. The (V22) with 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds in one room and a queen-size bed in the other, a living area with a sofa bed, and can be booked with either 1 or 2 bathrooms (depending on occupancy).
Double Room
The double rooms are equipped with twin beds, balcony with park view, minibar (for a fee), internet (free), safe (free), and flat-screen satellite TV, as well as individually adjustable air conditioning (from June to September) and centrally controlled heating. The bathroom is equipped with shower/WC (approx. 20-23 m², D/D1K).
Double Room Sea Side
With otherwise similar facilities to the nicely furnished double rooms, these have a special location on the sea side (DY2).
Double Room Interconnecting
These consist of two adjacent double rooms with a connecting door. Each room has twin beds and a bathroom with a shower (CI2).

All Inclusive
Rich breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet at the Mediterraneo Restaurant. The dinner buffet features regular themed nights such as Istrian, Croatian, Mediterranean, or Burger night. Drinks from the beverage station, as well as local wine and beer, water, and non-alcoholic soft drinks are included with lunch and dinner. Selected light snacks and drinks are also included during the day at the "Istrian Tavern". The lobby and pool bar also invite you to enjoy cool drinks during the day.
Maro Club: For children up to 12 years of age, refreshments from the beverage machine at the bar as well as ice cream are included during the day.
Sports included
(subject to availability): Fitness center, large chess board, walking and jogging paths, volleyball and beach volleyball, soccer, beach soccer, handball, basketball. Bicycle rental.
Sports for a fee
(subject to availability): Sports center (100 m from hotel, open from April to October), tennis courts, as well as various water sports options provided by third-party suppliers. Bocce, mini golf, and table tennis.
Children's program
Children's pool, children's playground, cinema, and a separate playroom from 06/01 to 09/15. From 06/15 to 09/01, Maro Club for different age groups:
Maro Baby (0-3 years): Lounge area for relaxing with parents and Maro Baby Room.
Maro Club (3-7 years and 7-12 years): Children's room with various activities and entertainment programs. The Maro Club is open for 4 hours per day, 6 hours in peak season.
Teen (12+ years): Teenager open-air zone, video games, sports activities (beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, etc.), evening program e.g., beach parties, disco, or movie night. Go-karting or paintball are offered for a fee and only with parents.
Wellness
Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, outdoor whirlpool, relaxation room, and the whirlpool are included. Massages and treatments are available in the wellness center for a fee.
