Location

The 5-star resort of the renowned Mövenpick hotel chain is located in a quiet area right on the coast of the Red Sea, with golden beaches and crystal-clear water. The elegant complex is situated directly on the gently sloping sandy beach of Soma Bay. The Soma Bay reef delights with its vibrant underwater world and is perfect for snorkeling and diving. A long jetty provides easy access to the deeper water beyond the reef and offers a fantastic view over the turquoise water. The airport and the center of Hurghada are located approx. 50 km north of the resort.

Amenities

Decorated in shades of azure and cream, the 418 rooms and suites at the Mövenpick Resort Soma Bay enchant guests with their unique flair. The stylishly furnished entrance hall welcomes guests with a blend of elegance and comfort, and features a reception area with seating. Dining options include a main restaurant with a beautiful outdoor terrace, as well as an Italian à la carte restaurant and an oriental outdoor à la carte restaurant, which is designed in an authentic Arabic style. In these restaurants, guests are pampered with fresh specialties and an extra portion of culinary Mövenpick creativity. Additionally, for a quick bite or a refreshing drink, there is a pool bar, a beach bar, and a lobby bar (a quiet zone for those 18 and older; families with children are served on the outdoor terrace). The resort also houses several shops, including a souvenir shop, a mini-market, and a boutique. Nestled in a well-maintained garden landscape, the expansive pool area with its sun terrace and pool bar lies at the heart of the complex.
For special water fun, the newly built "Splash Mania" aquapark features various splash pools and water slides for guests of all ages.

Double room

The luxurious rooms (D) are approx. 30 m² and equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, LCD satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), vanity mirror, coffee/tea maker (replenished daily, includes a 1.5-liter bottle of water), safe, and individually adjustable air conditioning. Some rooms feature a French balcony; otherwise, there is no balcony or terrace.

The Deluxe rooms (DM2) with sea view are equipped like the Deluxe double rooms but feature a sea view.

Family room

The family rooms are equipped like the double rooms but are more spacious (DF2, approx. 60 m²) with additional sofa beds and a large balcony. Mountain view.
Please note that occupancy of two adults and three children in one room may feel cramped.
