Location

The hotel complex is located directly on a long, private sandy beach in the heart of the picturesque Makadi Bay. This enchanting bay is particularly popular with diving and snorkeling enthusiasts and offers ideal conditions for discovering the fascinating underwater world of the Red Sea. Makadi Bay is situated south of Hurghada and is a sought-after resort town with numerous restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options. Hurghada Airport is approximately 30 kilometers away.

The Xanadu Makadi Bay combines comfort and luxury for an unforgettable vacation experience. The modern-style hotel complex offers 815 spacious rooms, distributed across a main building and several annexes. Thanks to its unique architecture, the Xanadu Makadi Bay creates a special atmosphere that enchants guests from the start. The spacious lobby area with reception and cozy seating invites guests to relax. Culinary delights are provided by a main restaurant and seven à-la-carte restaurants: "Dolce Vita" (Italian), "Ariel" (seafood), "La Cascade" (French), "Taj Mahal" (Indian), "Turkuaz" (Turkish), "Dragon" (Far Eastern cuisine/for a fee), and "Agora" (Middle Eastern), included 1x per stay. Several bars complement the gastronomic offering. In the expansive, beautifully landscaped grounds, guests have access to two pools and three children's pools, some of which can be heated in winter. The hotel's own aquapark, featuring 13 slides for children and 14 for adults, provides water fun for all ages. Superior Double Room

The rooms (DSU) are approx. 35-45 m² and feature a shower/WC, telephone, TV, hairdryer, minibar, safe, air conditioning, coffee/tea maker, bathrobe, slippers, and a balcony. The rooms are located in the main building and offer garden views.
Available for an extra charge with partial sea view (DSS/Q2A) or direct sea view (DMU), and for single use (DEU, 1SD, UME).
Also available as a Superior Dune Double Room in the annex (DSB/UB1).

Superior Swim Up Double Room

With the same features as the Superior Double, but approx. 45 m², located in the main building with a terrace and direct access to the Swim Up sharing pool. The rooms (DWP). Also available for single use (EWP).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Superior Swim Up Dune Double Room

With the same features as the Superior Swim Up Double, these rooms are located in the "Dune" annex (SWB). Also available for single use (SW1).

Junior Suite

With the same features as the Superior Double, but larger (JS2, approx. 81 m²), consisting of a bedroom and a living room with a connecting door and two bathrooms with showers. The rooms offer pool or partial sea views and are located in the main building.
(Additionally available under HRGB17 with pool view (J2P) or towards the sea (JM2).)

Family Room

With the same features as the Superior Double, but larger (DF2, approx. 73-103 m²), consisting of two bedrooms with a connecting door, one bathroom, a balcony, and garden views. The rooms are located in the main building.

Lagoon Swim Up Suite (TSW)

With the same features as the Superior Double, but larger (TSW, approx. 72-75 m²), consisting of one bedroom and an additional living/sleeping room with a connecting door, two bathrooms, and a terrace.

With the same features as the Superior Double, but larger (SB, approx. 175 m²), consisting of two bedrooms with a connecting door, a living room, and three bathrooms.

Superior Dune Family Room (HRGB17)

These are approx. 60-80 m² in size, located in the Dune annex, and offer 2 bedrooms, shower/WC, and balcony (F2U).

All Inclusive

Ultra All Inclusive (UAI)

Breakfast from 7-11 AM, lunch from 12:30-2:30 PM, and dinner from 6-9 PM, all buffet-style.
Late-night dinner from 11 PM to 2 AM.
Alternatively, breakfast can be taken from 7-11 AM in the "Dolce Vita" à-la-carte restaurant (adults-only) or "Ariel" (for families).
For dinner, guests also have a selection of five à-la-carte restaurants available from 6:30-9 PM (reservation required, included once per stay from winter 24/25 onwards. Thereafter for a fee).
The seafood and Far Eastern à-la-carte restaurants are available for a fee.
The "Agora Snack Restaurant" offers snacks and drinks from 11 AM to 5 PM, and the "Xanadu" snack bar from 12 PM to 4 PM. Ice cream is also available from 11 AM to 6 PM. (In the Agora snack restaurants, between 12 PM and 2:30 PM in Fancyland, and during lunch and dinner in the main restaurant.)
Local premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included around the clock at the lobby and lagoon bars. A small selection of imported drinks is also available to guests.

The "Fancyland" Kids Club makes children's hearts beat faster and is open from 9:30 AM to 10 PM. Spanning a total area of 1,500 m², it offers plenty of play and fun. "Fancyland" is divided into three areas, each with indoor and outdoor sections as well as various playrooms:
The "Baby Club" area is for children aged 0-3 years (only under parental supervision).
The "Miniclub" area is for children aged 4-7 years.
The "Teens" area is for children aged 8-16 years.
Additionally, the complex offers a mini-disco, an adventurous playground, a children's buffet, and a Water Fun Park for children aged 4-7. Babysitters and baby monitors are available upon request for a fee, and high chairs are available in the restaurant upon request.
