Location

The sprawling hotel complex is located directly on the hotel's own 400-meter-long sandy beach. There is a jetty on the beach that facilitates entry into deeper water and creates ideal conditions for snorkeling. From here, guests can explore the beautiful and diverse underwater world of the Red Sea. The nearest shopping center, Senzo Mall, is about 300 meters away. The center of Hurghada is about 20 km away, and Hurghada International Airport is about 15 km away.

In the popular 5-star family resort, you'll experience water fun for the whole family! The complex is nestled in a beautiful and generously designed garden landscape. The hotel complex, particularly popular with regular guests, has 483 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several three-story buildings. The main building houses the reception, the Sun Ray Lobby Bar, and the Giardino Buffet Restaurant. The spacious and well-maintained garden offers a generous pool landscape consisting of three freshwater pools (Moroccan Pool, Aqua Pool, and children's pool with slides; heated in winter). A highlight of the resort is the hotel's own water park with twelve different water slides (use from 1.20 m) and a separate area with two children's slides (Octopus, Snake) that will thrill water lovers of all ages.

Katta Family Room

The Katta Family Rooms (KWF) with bunk beds are bookable as schauinsland-reisen original rooms and appear freshly renovated in Katta style (bookable under KWF and DF2).
The rooms offer additional amenities for children, such as a bunk bed in Katta style, a Katta play corner with beanbags and a small table with chairs, as well as an extra Smart TV with HDMI connection and a Katta height chart on the wall. The sockets are also equipped with child safety locks. The bathrooms have towel rails at child height and a small step in front of the sink. With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms are also approx. 45 m² in size.
Also bookable as a double room (FR2).
With 2 adults and 3 children, space is limited.

Katta Family Suite

The Family Suites (2FS/FMK) are bookable as schauinsland-reisen original rooms and have been renovated.
The suites are approx. 75 m² in size and consist of two separate bedrooms with a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with two single beds, separated by a hallway. Both rooms have their own bathroom with a shower. The double rooms with a king-size bed are equipped similarly to the double rooms and have a Smart TV with HDMI connection. The rooms with two single beds have a special light effect, a dresser with a Smart TV and HDMI connection, and a chill-out area with a beanbag. The sockets are equipped with child safety locks, and the bathrooms have a small step and towel rails at child height.

The family suites can accommodate up to 4 adults.

“Katta is on holiday”
Dear children, do you know what I love to do most? Holiday, of course! Don't you want to visit me at the hotel for a few days and have a holiday together? We can play, craft, solve puzzles, and read stories together. In the evening, we'll rock the mini disco. I'll give every child a personal travel diary. So, how does that sound? Katta's Miniclub is available for younger guests (3-12 years) in German and offers games and fun with Katta and his friends. This includes a general area with various games, a PlayStation room with a selection of games, and a nap and chill-out room for the kids' afternoon sleep. In the evening, a children's cinema is available in the Miniclub. Arts and crafts, cooking classes, and sports activities complete the program. There is also a playground for the little ones, Katta's children's buffet corner in the main restaurant, and a mini water park with a pool. Katta offers a special highlight with his garden: here, various vegetables await the children, which Katta tends to with the young guests.
Babysitter service is available for a fee.

Wellness

The spa area (ages 16 and up, use for a fee) is open from 10 AM to 8 PM and offers a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and hammam. Massages and other treatments are available for an additional fee. Advance booking is sometimes required.

Entertainment

The resort offers daytime and evening entertainment as well as shows in the amphitheater.
In the evening, live music is provided, and the in-house DJ at the Victoria Pub creates a lively atmosphere with great music.
