Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.

6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Indulge in culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship has a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the Sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and are otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with the same facilities as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Meals

Full board

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a 1,500-meter-long, beautifully landscaped lagoon with a private beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes travel time) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty leads out into the Red Sea. Experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling from there. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

Built in a Nubian village style, the resort inspires with a cozy flair, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and features 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort features a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the resort. In the outdoor area, there are four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two smaller slides, Aqua Splash pool with four different water slides, Dolphin pool), three of which can be heated in winter. Four children's pools are also available for younger guests, three of which can be heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water games. Loungers, pool towels, and parasols are provided free of charge at the pools and at the hotel's own beach. A main restaurant, four different specialty restaurants, and various bars provide for your physical well-being.

Comfort Double Room (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 m²) have been fully renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, as well as coffee/tea making facilities, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool view and garden view. Also bookable for single occupancy (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same facilities as the double rooms but more spacious (approx. 28 m²), these rooms feature pool/garden or lagoon views. Also bookable for single occupancy (PR1).

Family Room (DF2)

The cozy family rooms feature the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 m²).

Superior Double Room

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 m²) are renovated and offer a choice of different views, depending on the location of the room in the hotel – either with a view of the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, as requested. The rooms have free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Also bookable for 3 people (TDS) and single occupancy (DSE).

Superior Plus Double Room

The rooms (DSB) are more spacious (approx. 35 m²) with similar amenities to the Superior Double rooms. The rooms are renovated and newly bookable.

The main restaurant “Sunny Restaurant” offers breakfast (07:00–10:00), lunch (12:00–14:30), and dinner (18:30–21:00) in buffet form. Additionally, the restaurant offers teatime from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. with various snacks. Several specialty restaurants are also available: “Greenhouse” with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. buffet-style), lunch (11 a.m. – 3 p.m. à-la-carte for a fee), and evening (6 p.m. – 9 p.m. à-la-carte for a fee, prior reservation required). “Lagoon Lunch” at lunch (12:00–15:00 à-la-carte). “Dolce Vita” with Italian dishes (18:30–21:00 à-la-carte), as well as “Chez Pascal” with a selection of various specialties (18:30–21:00 à-la-carte for a fee on Fridays). Soft drinks, hot drinks, and local alcoholic beverages are offered to guests until midnight at six different bars, including the All-Inclusive Bar, the Sunset Bar, the Dolphin Bar, the Lagoon Bar, the Lounge Bar, and the Peanuts Bar, which is open until midnight and offers various entertainment and activities. Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants at other hotels – completely free of additional costs for food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in houses of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
