Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continuation to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).

Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then it is back to Kom Ombo.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or a double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same features as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

The hotel "Pickalbatros Aqua Park," very popular with families, is located just approx. 700m from the hotel's own beach section. You can reach this after a short walk across the grounds of the sister hotel "Beach Albatros" (HRG013) or by free shuttle. The hotel is separated from "Beach Albatros" by only a road. Hurghada airport is approx. 10 km away; you need about 20 minutes by car to Hurghada Downtown.

Facilities

The particularly family-friendly resort has 296 rooms, which are spread over the main building and four 3-story annex buildings. In addition to two restaurants in the hotel (Mediterranean cuisine, Asian cuisine) and various bars, other restaurants from the sister hotels can be used. Furthermore, the hotel offers a spacious lobby with a lobby bar, reception and ATM as well as various shops in front of the hotel and a hairdresser. In the outdoor area, there is an amphitheater, 5 swimming pools (one of which is heatable, one children's pool), an Olympic pool in the sister hotel Pickalbatros Aqua Vista (for a fee), and the Aqua Park with 9 water slides for adults. There are 16 additional slides for children in the "Pickalbatros Aqua Blu," which can be used. Loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and on the beach, pool towels only at the pool. At the beach, there is a beach bar, which is also included. If required, unlimited access to the Neverland Aqua Park can be booked additionally.
For guests of "Pickalbatros Aqua Park," "Pickalbatros Aqua Blu," and "Pickalbatros Aqua Vista," the newly opened "Midway Street" with various theme park attractions is also available.

The double rooms (D) are friendly and tastefully furnished with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar, kettle, telephone, satellite TV, safe, and balcony or terrace and have a size of approx. 32 m².

Breakfast from 7-10 a.m., late riser breakfast until 11 a.m., lunch buffet from 12:30-2:30 p.m., dinner in 2 restaurants (main restaurant and Asian restaurant) from 6-9 p.m. Optionally also in one of the two restaurants "Tagine" and "Soprano" in the sister hotels Pickalbatros Aqua Blu and Pickalbatros Aqua Vista.
