Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a viewing of the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continuation to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).

Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Afterward, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterward, the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modern outside cabins, distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²), may not have a French balcony or seating area, and feature a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

The Mövenpick Resort & Spa is located in the heart of El Gouna, idyllically situated on one of the numerous peninsulas with its own exclusive beach, nestled between the Red Sea and a picturesque lagoon. The charming town center of El Gouna, which offers an abundance of restaurants and shops, is about 1.5 km away. The picturesque Abu Tig Marina, an exclusive yacht harbor with a multitude of restaurants and shopping facilities, can be reached after approx. 3.5 km. The resort is located about 27 km north of the center of Hurghada and approx. 40 km from Hurghada Airport.

The spacious hotel complex in a Mediterranean style comprises a total of 420 rooms, which are harmoniously distributed across seven different buildings. The particularly spacious and elegantly furnished reception hall welcomes guests with a stylish reception and comfortable seating; safes are available there free of charge. The double rooms Deluxe Lagoon View (D2L) have the same facilities as the double rooms but offer a view of the lagoon or side sea view and have a balcony or terrace.

Family room

The family rooms (DF2) have the same facilities as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and additionally feature an open sleeping area (maisonette) as well as a balcony with a view of the lagoon or the pool.
