Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stay depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3. Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Journey to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).

5. Day:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7. Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), while otherwise having the same amenities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

The spacious hotel complex is located directly on the hotel's own 400 m long sandy beach. On the beach, there is a jetty that makes it easier to enter deeper water and creates the perfect conditions for snorkeling. From here, guests can explore the beautiful and diverse underwater world of the Red Sea. The nearest shopping center, Senzo Mall, is approx. 300 m away. The center of Hurghada is about 20 km away, and the international airport of Hurghada is about 15 km away.

In this popular 5-star family resort, you will experience water fun for the whole family! The complex is embedded in a beautiful and generously landscaped garden. Spend a great family holiday and enjoy Egyptian hospitality. This hotel complex, which is particularly popular with regular guests, has 483 comfortably furnished rooms, which are distributed over several three-story buildings. The main building houses the reception, the Sun Ray Lobby Bar, and the Giardino buffet restaurant. The spacious and well-maintained garden area offers a large pool landscape consisting of three freshwater pools (Moroccan Pool, Aqua Pool, as well as a children's pool with slides; can be heated in winter). A highlight of the resort is the hotel's own aquapark with twelve different water slides (usage from 1.20 m) and a separate area with two children's slides (Octopus, Snake), which will make the hearts of water lovers both young and old beat faster.

The 45 m² tastefully furnished superior double rooms (D) feature a telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities, seating area, minibar (daily replenishment with water, weekly replenishment with soft drinks), air conditioning, safe, TV, balcony or terrace.
Optionally bookable with pool view (DSP) or side sea view (D2S) or for single use (DE, ESP, 1SD). Also bookable as type I (DI) with special price, limited availability.

Super saver room

The super saver rooms (SSZ) feature the same amenities as the superior double rooms but have limited availability and a special price.
Also bookable for single use (SSE).

Deluxe Double Room

The deluxe double rooms (DD2/DD1) feature the same amenities as the double rooms, are also approx. 45 m² in size, and additionally include a king-size bed or two single beds, a seating area with side table, and a vanity table.
Optionally bookable with pool view (DPB/DPE) or side sea view (DDS/EDD), as well as type I (DDI) at a special price, limited availability.

Katta Family Room

The Katta family rooms (KWF) with bunk beds are bookable as "schauinsland-reisen original" rooms and appear freshly renovated in Katta style (bookable under KWF as well as DF2).
The rooms feature additional amenities for the little ones, such as a Katta-style loft bed, a Katta play corner with beanbags and a small table with chairs, as well as an extra smart TV with HDMI connection and Katta's height chart on the wall. Additionally, the power outlets are equipped with child safety locks. The bathrooms feature child-sized towel racks and a step stool in front of the sink. With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms are also approx. 45 m² in size.
Also bookable as a double room (FR2).
For 2 adults and 3 children, there is only limited space available.

Katta Family Suite

The family suites (2FS/FMK) are bookable as "schauinsland-reisen original" rooms and are renovated.
The suites are approx. 75 m² in size and consist of two separate bedrooms with one parents' bedroom with a king-size bed and another bedroom with two single beds, which are separated from each other by a hallway. Both rooms have their own bathroom with a shower. The double rooms with king-size bed are furnished similarly to the double rooms and feature a smart TV with HDMI connection. The rooms with two single beds feature special lighting effects, a dresser with a smart TV and HDMI connection, and a chill-out area with a beanbag. The power outlets are equipped with child safety locks, and the bathrooms feature a step stool as well as child-sized towel racks.
Please note that Katta and his friends are not graphically represented in Katta's family suites.
The family suites can also be occupied by 4 adults.

Junior Suite

The junior suites (JS2) are approx. 80 m² in size and consist of a living/sleeping area with extra sleeping options and a separate sleeping area. The rooms also feature a bathroom with a bathtub and a terrace.
Also bookable for single use (JS1).

Beach Front

The beach front rooms (BF2) feature the same amenities as the double rooms, but are located in the first beach row and have a sea view.

This includes a general area with various games, a PlayStation room with a selection of different PlayStation games, as well as a sleeping and chill-out room for the kids' nap time. In the evening, children's cinema is available in the miniclub. Painting and cooking classes as well as sports activities round off the program. Furthermore, a playground, Katta's children's buffet corner in the main restaurant, and a mini-aquapark with a pool are available for the little ones. A special highlight is offered by Katta in his garden: here, the little ones can expect various types of vegetables that Katta takes care of with the little guests.
