Travel information

Combination product featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Hot air balloon ride possible at 5 am (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to the West Bank to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).

Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness center that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

The luxury resort is located directly on its own private beach, with a unique house reef, in the exclusive holiday area of Sahl Hasheesh. The reef invites you to dive and snorkel in its fascinating underwater world. Two beautiful man-made lagoons as well as a natural lagoon provide recreation and relaxation. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 km away. The center of Hurghada with numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, and entertainment options is approx. 30 km (taxi for a fee) away.

Facilities

Built from natural coral stone, the hillside resort has 552 rooms spread across eight buildings. The hotel has its own small marina and a private beach. Facilities include a spacious, cozy reception hall, a beauty salon with hairdresser, several souvenir shops, and a Starbucks (for a fee). Six different restaurants take care of your culinary needs ("Star Fish" for a fee). Cool refreshments are served in eight different bars. The shisha bar with water pipes rounds off the diverse offering (for a fee).

The approx. 36-58 m² modernly furnished double rooms with sea view (DM,MBB) feature shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, balcony or terrace. Double rooms can also be booked for single use (DEM). All double rooms have a sea view.

The double rooms are similar in equipment to the double rooms with sea view but do not have a sea view (D). Also bookable for single occupancy (DE).

Double Deluxe sea view

The approx. 60 m² Double Deluxe sea view (DM2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms with sea view, with a balcony or terrace. The Deluxe double rooms are located in buildings 6, 7, and 8 on the ground floor and also have a sea view. Also bookable for single use (DM1).

The family rooms with sea view (F2M) are approx. 60 m² in size and feature two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a dressing room. Equipped like the double rooms with sea view.

Double Superior Swim up sea view

The spacious Swim Up rooms (2MW) are approx. 58 m² in size, modernly furnished, and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, terrace, and access to the sharing pool (bookable from 16 years old). The approx. 60 m² Junior suites are equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, safe, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony with sea view (J2M).

Double Executive (HRGA29)

These Executive rooms are approx. 57 m² in size and offer similar amenities to the double rooms with sea view, however, they offer a swim-up terrace (EXD).

Double room sea view Type A (HRGA29)
