Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be used.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).

Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Arriving there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a front desk. Indulge in culinary delights at the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting winter 2024/25, the ship features a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same facilities as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but with a non-opening window.

Freshly renovated and reopened in 2026, the SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort is located in the north of Hurghada, directly on the beach. The spacious and wide beach section with its own jetty invites you to linger and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is about 25 kilometers away, and the center of Hurghada is about 16 kilometers away.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen Original Hotel was extensively renovated in winter 2025/2026 and now shines in new splendor on Hurghada's first beach line. The complex has a total of 569 rooms distributed across different building areas, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The complex offers guests 5 different pools, distributed throughout the site down to the beach. One of the pools is heatable during the winter months, and one pool is exclusively for adults (16+). Additionally, the complex offers three children's pools, all of which are heatable. Nestled in the complex, a spacious aqua park offers water fun for young and old: Ten different slides provide daily sliding fun, six additional slides are specifically available for younger guests in the children's area. A total of 6 restaurants (one of which is for a fee) ensure a culinary experience, as well as three additional à-la-carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. Family suite swim-up

With the same facilities as the family suite with sea view, these rooms have access to a sharing pool (FSU, approx. 48 m²).
Please note that your booked room has a sharing pool and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty there. When booking with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for their supervision.

Superior double room swim-up

With the same facilities as the superior double rooms, these rooms (DWU) are 44 m² and have a terrace with access to a sharing pool.
Also bookable for single occupancy (WU1).
Please note that your booked room has a sharing pool and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty there. When booking with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for their supervision.

Deluxe double room pool view

The rooms (DPB) are slightly more spacious (approx. 35 m²) with similar features as the superior double rooms and have a pool view.

Family Jacuzzi Suite

The spacious Family Jacuzzi Suite (FJZ) with sea view offers plenty of space for the whole family (approx. 80 m²) with two separate bedrooms (1 queen-size bed and 1 twin bedroom). Facilities include a sitting area, walk-in closet, bathroom with walk-in shower, as well as a balcony with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. Junior Jacuzzi Suite

The spacious Junior Jacuzzi Suite (JJ2) with sea view offers a stylish ambiance for relaxing holidays (approx. 80 m²). Equipped with a bedroom with a queen-size bed, cozy sitting area, and bathroom with walk-in shower, it provides high living comfort. A special highlight is the terrace with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. Further facilities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, hairdryer, iron, and an HD/LED TV.

The holiday resort has six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as late-night snacks; Basilico breakfast and dinner in buffet form as well as à-la-carte in the evening; Manzoku Asian cuisine in the evening in à-la-carte form; Manohar Indian cuisine in the evening in à-la-carte form; Yades Greek cuisine at lunch and dinner in à-la-carte form; Felucca seafood in the evening in à-la-carte form. The à-la-carte restaurants must be reserved on site; the Felucca restaurant is for a fee.
Furthermore, the following three à-la-carte restaurants are available in the evening at the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine).
