Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven Days in accordance with the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, sightseeing of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing of the West Bank. Morning after breakfast excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Continue journey from Esna.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Cabin single occupancy

Same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The exclusive Steigenberger Golf Resort is located on a peninsula, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon with a private lagoon beach and the spacious 18-hole golf course. The turquoise-blue lagoon landscape invites you to rest and relax. The famous Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, which leads into the crystal-clear water with a 400 m long swimming jetty, is only approx. 2 km away. The center of El Gouna with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, perfect for strolling and relaxing, is approx. 1 km away. It is approx. 30 km to the center of Hurghada and about 35 km to Hurghada Airport.

Facilities

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in the spring of 2023 and has been shining in new splendor ever since. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several annexes. The spacious complex was built in a Nubian style and features 268 modern rooms. The property offers its guests an elegant lobby with a reception and seating areas. In the extensive and beautifully landscaped garden, there are two main pools and a children's pool (one of the two main pools is heatable in winter, children's pool is heatable in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available to guests free of charge at the pool and the lagoon beach. Three restaurants and six bars fulfill your culinary wishes. These include the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with changing theme buffets and a variety of international specialties, the "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservation required). Further facilities of the resort include an 18-hole golf course popular among golfers, as well as a spa, wellness, and fitness area.

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) are approx. 54 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with garden view.

Double room Premium lagoon or pool view

The rooms (PPD) are 54 m² and modernly furnished. They feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with lagoon, pool, or golf course view.
Also bookable for single use (1PP).

The Junior Suites (JS2) feature the same equipment as the double rooms but are more spacious (72 m²) and additionally have an integrated living area with a table, two chairs, and two sofa beds, with garden, lagoon, golf course, or pool view.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half-board, full-board, or All-Inclusive a special culinary experience in numerous different Dine-Around offerings. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – completely without additional costs for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer several times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in houses of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
