Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival Day and the embarkation Day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1. Day:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (can be booked optionally on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3. Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).

5. Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7. Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modern outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served to you at the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also available for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The luxurious hotel complex is located right in the heart of Port Ghalib and is only approx. 200 m from the beautiful sandy beach. An offshore coral reef offers guests a great opportunity for snorkeling and diving. Entry into the crystal-clear water of the Red Sea is facilitated by a long jetty. The marina with various restaurants and bars is just a few minutes' walk away. The international airport of Marsa Alam is only approx. 5 km away.

Facilities

The luxurious hotel complex, built in an Arabian style, has 426 modern rooms and is equipped with a spacious lobby area with reception. Six restaurants (two with international cuisine and one with Italian cuisine) as well as six bars and a food court ensure your culinary well-being. The spacious spa area invites you to relax and unwind. In the beautifully landscaped and extensive outdoor area, there is a pool and a separate children's pool (partially heated in winter). In addition, the complex offers a large saltwater lagoon that runs through the entire property. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available to guests free of charge at the pool and beach.
The resort includes the largest and heated water park in Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam (in the immediate vicinity, incl.). The new Aqua-Park offers 8 water slides for adults and 13 slides for children, ensuring fun for all age groups. There are also two large, heated pools with comfortable sun loungers so you can relax between slides. The Aqua Park is available exclusively to guests of the Pickalbatros Palace, Pickalbatros Sands, and Pickalbatros Oasis Port Ghalib hotels. The park is open from May to October from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from November to April from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., so guests have plenty of time to make the most of their visit and create lasting memories.
