Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.

At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.

In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cold drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites, but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a window that cannot be opened.

The Sheraton Miramar Resort, built in the Nubian style, invites you to rest and relaxation. The beautiful hotel complex extends over nine small islands, where the various buildings of the hotel are spread out. The island landscape is connected by wooden bridges. Surrounded by crystal clear lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches, the location creates a very special atmosphere that immediately evokes a holiday mood. The hotel is located approx. 25 km north of Hurghada, just a few minutes' drive from the town center of El Gouna with various shops, restaurants, and bars. For a fee, you can use the regularly running boat and bus shuttle. Hurghada Airport is approx. 40 km away.

Facilities

The resort, designed by the famous architect Michael Graves, has 339 rooms and fascinates with its colorful combination of Arab and Nubian style as well as its location in the middle of a beautiful, exotic garden landscape. Comfortable social facilities include the spacious lobby with reception, several well-maintained lounges, various shops, a hairdresser, and a beauty salon. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant "Miramar" and the two à-la-carte restaurants. Superior double room with pool or lagoon view

The comfortably furnished rooms (DSU) are freshly renovated and have a size of approx. 38 m². The rooms feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (replenished daily with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the hotel's own lagoon. Also bookable as a double room for single use (DEU).

Premium double room with side sea view

The rooms (P2D) feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (replenished daily with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, seating area, safe, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms feature side sea views and are renovated.

Beachfront Deluxe Room

The freshly renovated Beachfront Deluxe Rooms (BF2) offer the same facilities as the double rooms, but are located in the first beach row. Also bookable for single use (BF1).

Family room

The family rooms (DF2) offer the same facilities as the double rooms, but consist of two rooms with a connecting door.

The Suite Superior (SU2) are similar in terms of facilities to the Superior double rooms, but have no walk-in shower and are larger at approx. 42 m².

The main restaurant "Miramar" offers breakfast (7-10:30 a.m.) and dinner (6:30-10 p.m.) in buffet form. Lunch is offered in the "Miramar" or "Waves" restaurant. Local beer, local spirits and local wines, soft drinks, ice cream, tea, mineral water, and coffee are included around the clock at the currently open bar. Drinks in the minibar are also included (daily refilling of soft drinks).
