Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a front desk. Indulge in culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), while otherwise having the same amenities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and sitting area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

Built in a Moroccan style, this hotel belonging to the renowned JAZ Hotel Group is located directly on the private, long sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay, offering a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll around. The aquapark is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

The JAZ Makadina is embedded in a beautiful garden landscape and features 270 rooms distributed across several small buildings on the grounds. The Superior Suites (SU2) feature similar amenities to the Superior Double Rooms, are more spacious (approx. 47 m²), and have an additional sitting/sleeping area, separated from the rest of the room by a curtain.
Also bookable as Deluxe Double Room (DD2). In this room, the sitting/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Deluxe Family Room

The Deluxe Family Rooms (2DF) feature the same amenities as the Superior Family Rooms. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.
