Combined package consisting of an MS Nile Excellence river cruise and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the sightseeing tour of the Aswan High Dam.
The excursion packages listed below can, of course, still be booked.

Itinerary:
1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon flight is possible (optionally bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3); a breakfast package is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
8th Day:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and sitting area, but instead feature a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included.

The beautiful hotel complex is located right in the heart of Makadi Bay, next to the popular sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (HRG223). The holiday resort is located in the first beach row at the most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots in the bay, thus offering the opportunity to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea directly from the gently sloping beach.
The city center of Hurghada is approx. 37 km away. Hurghada airport is located approx. 32 km away.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen Original hotel was built in a noble bohemian style and features 240 rooms and suites distributed over various building complexes. With its unique and high-quality dining concept, the hotel stands out in Egypt, offering a choice of a total of three of its own à-la-carte restaurants ("Lucina" - international cuisine, "Gaia" - Italian cuisine, and "Yades" - Greek cuisine) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The à-la-carte restaurant "Posh Club Lounge" is available exclusively to Posh Club members for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, guests of the "SUNRISE Tucana Resort Grand Select" can use the eight à-la-carte restaurants of the sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" free of charge, with a diverse selection for dinner. The Felucca, which offers fish and seafood, is for a fee. Furthermore, there are a total of eight different bars. The "Posh Club Lounge" is only for Posh Club members. The Cohiba Bar (adults-only) is accessible to all guests and serves, among other things, imported alcoholic beverages from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. In the spacious outdoor area of the hotel, there are three pools (heatable in winter). Lexi Swim Up Suite Poolview

The Lexi Swim Up Suite (SWP) has the same facilities as the Superior double rooms but is larger (approx. 43 m²). The rooms feature a terrace with access to the swim-up shared pool. There is a dining table and two separate sun loungers on the terrace.
Rooms with direct access to a sharing pool do not have their own pool supervision and represent an increased risk potential for small children and non-swimmers. The supervisory duty at the pool lies with the legal guardians.

Superior double room

The friendly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 35 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and a balcony or terrace.

The unique dining concept offers breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in one of the three à-la-carte restaurants of the hotel ("Lucina", "Gaia", "Yades"). As a Posh Club member (booked suite), you also have the opportunity to have breakfast exclusively in the "Posh Club Lounge." In all four restaurants, a sparkling wine breakfast is included for you. Additionally, dinner can optionally be taken in the buffet restaurant or in one of the eight different à-la-carte restaurants of the "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (Mexican, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Steak, Diet and Light, Bedouin restaurant).
