Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight to the destination must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and includes a front desk. Indulge your palate in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony is also furnished with a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and have the same features as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) feature the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead having a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

The spacious adults-only hotel complex (bookable from 16 years) with a total of 364 elegant rooms features a warm and oriental ambiance. Amenities include an inviting lobby with a reception area to make you feel at home from the first moment, as well as several shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (XO2) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Breakfast from 6:30-10:30 a.m., lunch from 12:30-2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30-9:30 p.m., each in buffet style. Various snacks for the small hunger in between are available during the day.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and ice cream from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fresh juice from 10 a.m. to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests have one dinner included in an à-la-carte restaurant (at "Fayruz") per stay; registration required. A fruit basket upon arrival.
