Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m. a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).

5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting winter 2024/25, the ship features a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area and French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper deck.
The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. During lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as a small bottle of water per person are included.

The spacious adults-only (bookable from 16 years) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegant rooms features a warm and oriental ambiance. Facilities include an inviting lobby with reception, ensuring you feel comfortable from the first moment, as well as several shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. Culinary variety is provided by a main restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" – Mediterranean dishes), and various bars.

Superior Double Room Sea View Guaranteed Upper Floors

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (XO2) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., each in buffet form. During the day, there are various snacks for a small hunger in between.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and ice cream from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fresh juice from 10 a.m. to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests have one dinner per stay in an à-la-carte restaurant included (at the "Fayruz"), registration required. Upon arrival, a fruit basket.
