Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a viewing of the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning continue cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.

Day 7:

Accommodation

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and seating area, but feature a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

The newly opened JAZ Amara Resort (opened December 2023) is situated on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for being home to turtles and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Accommodation

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the entire complex. Among these are various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and was designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and has a reception desk with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area features a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area and on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the double rooms Superior and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Double room Superior Swim-up advantage room

The double rooms Superior Swim-up (DWP) have the same features as the double rooms Superior, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following exclusive Schauinsland-Reisen amenities:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07-10 p.m.) in buffet form. Also, a late-riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additionally, guests have two à-la-carte restaurants at their disposal (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: "Tao Tao" Restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as, among others, sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
