Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three decks. On the middle deck, you will find an impressive and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style. Refreshing drinks are provided by two bars, one located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. The sun deck also has sufficient loungers for necessary relaxation as well as a spacious pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) have a bathroom with a bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. Furthermore, all cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single cabin

With the same facilities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11 m²) and with only one bed.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's own sandy/pebbly beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam airport.
Due to the gently sloping beach, you have the option for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

The large newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The cozy and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan"-oriental, "Soprano Restaurant"- international cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish"-seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which are heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.
Loungers, umbrellas, pads, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The Beachfront sea view rooms (BF2, approx. 42-45 m²) are large and the rooms feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace or balcony. The Beachfront sea view rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea.

Family room Deluxe garden view

The modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 m²) consist of a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bedroom with single beds and a sofa bed, and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.
Also bookable with pool view (XF2) for an extra charge.

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 m² in size and feature a bathroom/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the communal Swim Up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional contingent bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite Type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

The Double rooms Deluxe correspond in size and equipment to the Double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and with sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

The Bungalows Deluxe have a size of approx. 35 m² and are equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flat-screen TV, balcony or terrace, and have a sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

The Superior Bungalows are similar in equipment to the Bungalows Deluxe, but are larger at approx. 45 m² (2UB).
