Travel information

Combination package featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers between segments. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must begin at least one day earlier, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stay depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the day of embarkation.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. 5 a.m. hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continuing from Esna.
Afterwards, we continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.

After breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Then, opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly well-known for its turtle population and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping options with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Amenities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the resort. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and has been conceived very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay, and features a reception with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area features a large pool landscape that runs through the resort. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests at the pool area and on the private beach section free of charge; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. The friendly furnished superior double rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are each equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. Superior double room sea view guaranteed top floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the superior double rooms and feature sea views. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Special Offer

The superior swim-up double rooms (DWP) feature the same equipment features as the superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following exclusive amenities from schauinsland-reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, plus 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

Executive Suite

The executive suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The executive suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07:00-10:00 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07:00-10:00 p.m.) buffet style. Furthermore, a late-riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Additionally, two à la carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are for a fee thereafter: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes including sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à la carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
