The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's private sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the possibility for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - International cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - Seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, The Bakery.
In the extensive outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, mattresses, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).
