Location

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is situated on a beautiful, gently shelving stretch of beach in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly well-known for its turtle population and features a house reef that invites guests to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is located approximately 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities, bars, and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (approximately 5 kilometers away).

The stylishly built hotel complex comprises a total of 272 rooms and suites spread across the entire property. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and has been conceived with generous proportions. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay, and features a reception desk with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the property. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area as well as on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already provided in the rooms. Furthermore, the property features a spacious gym on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida-Spa (for a fee). One main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, and various bars are at your disposal.

Superior Double Room

The pleasantly furnished Superior double rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or balcony. Also bookable with pool (DSP), side sea (DSS), and sea view (DMU). Also bookable for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).
(Additionally bookable under RMFA45 as Superior Swim Up Double Room with direct access to the sharing pool (DWP/EWP/B2Q)).

Superior Premium Double Room

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior double rooms, these are slightly more spacious and have a pool view (PR2). Also bookable for single occupancy (PR1).

Superior Double Room with Guaranteed Sea View on Top Floor

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.
Also bookable for single occupancy (MSE).

Superior Swim-up Double Room Advantage Room

The Superior Swim-up double rooms (DWP) feature the same amenities as the Superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also include the following amenities exclusive to Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.
- Use of the à-la-carte restaurants is included one additional time (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, the à-la-carte restaurants are only included once).

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe double rooms (DD2) are larger (approx. 56m²) with the same amenities as the Superior double rooms and are suitable for families due to their layout (one king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area). Optionally bookable with side sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as a swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

Royal Suite

The Royal suites (RS) are 153m² in size and, with the same amenities as the Superior double rooms, feature a king-size bed and a dining area. Furthermore, the rooms have a lush terrace with access to the private pool (heatable in winter) and direct sea view.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30), and dinner (19:00-22:00) in buffet form. A late riser breakfast is also available from 10:30-12:00. Additionally, two à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are subject to a fee thereafter: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The "Bay View" à-la-carte restaurant offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine. Tea time is offered from 12:30 to 17:00. Various bars offer refreshments and snacks during the day, such as the "La Vista Pool Snack Bar" (snacks as well as local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks), "Splash Pool Bar", "Fantasia Lobby Bar", and "Bay View Beach Bar" (snacks as well as local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks).
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.
Men must wear long trousers and appropriate footwear; no muscle shirts/tank tops or shorts of any length.
For women, shorts are acceptable at dinner, but hot pants and very short shorts are not.
