Location

The expansive resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam airport.
Due to the gently sloping beach, you have the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. Additionally, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers excellent conditions for snorkelling and diving.

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheatre, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, "The Bakery".
The expansive outdoor area features 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built aqua park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heatable in winter) offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are provided free of charge at the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

Beachfront sea view

The Beachfront sea view rooms (BF2, approx. 42-45 m²) are large and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace or balcony. The Beachfront sea view rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea.
Also bookable for single use (BF1).

Double room Superior

The modern Double Superior rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45 m²) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a balcony or terrace.
Also bookable with pool view (DSP) or sea view (DMU) for an additional charge.

Family room Deluxe garden view

These modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 m²) consist of a bedroom with a king-size bed, a bedroom with single beds, and a sofa bed; they are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a balcony or terrace.
Also bookable with pool view (XF2) for an additional charge.
(Additionally bookable under RMFA49 as family room type A (2FA) with garden view).

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 m² and feature bathroom/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the shared swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional contingent bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children in these room types.

Double room Deluxe (RMFA49)

The Double room Deluxe are similar in size and facilities to the double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

The Bungalow Deluxe are approx. 35 m² in size and are equipped with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flat-screen TV, balcony or terrace, and have a sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

The Superior Bungalows are similar in equipment to the Bungalow Deluxe, but are larger at approx. 45 m² (2UB).
