Safaris always start on Mondays.
Day 1 "Mombasa - Tsavo West National Park": Early morning pick-up from your hotel (South Coast around 5:30 AM, North Coast 6:30 AM) and transfer to the Mombasa train terminal for a train journey (1st class) to Mtito Andei (departure 8 AM, arrival 11:18 AM). Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your accommodation, the "Severin Safari Camp," by a Severin Camp vehicle. After settling in, enjoy your first lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through Tsavo West National Park with a 6-seater vehicle and an English or German-speaking driver/guide. The vast and diverse habitats offer an ideal area to search for prides of lions, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and wildebeest. Enjoy a sundowner at the "Mzima Springs," an underground water source that seeps from the "Chyulu Hills," which is an excellent spot for observing hippos. You'll also find a great variety of bird species. Dinner will be served at your accommodation (Severin Safari Camp).
Day 2 "Tsavo West National Park": Spend the entire day in Tsavo West National Park with morning game drives and a 1.5-hour guided nature walk. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and your overnight stay will be at the "Severin Safari Camp."
Day 3 "Tsavo West National Park - Mombasa": The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to the Mtito Andei train station for the return journey by train (1st class) to Mombasa (departure 10:54 AM, arrival 2 PM). Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be transferred to your booked hotel.
Minimum participants: 2 people.
Safaris can start on the 2nd day of your stay at the earliest. The latest return to your booked beach hotel is 2 days before departure. Program sequence subject to change.
