Location

The Sands At Chale Island is situated within a 60,000 m² nature reserve in Kenya's only private island resort. Surrounded by the warm, aquamarine waters of the Indian Ocean, Chale Island is where comfort meets nature experience. The private island is located approx. 10 km south of Diani Beach and is approx. 600 meters from the mainland.

The hotel has 61 rooms that blend into the natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the tropical environment. In addition to a reception, the hotel has four restaurants: Baharini, Samaki Sushi Bar, Kibanda and Tamu Tamu Cafeteria (international, Indian, Mediterranean, Oriental, regional, fish/seafood, grilled dishes, Japanese), three bars: Jahazi Beach Bar, Barafu Bar and Mkoko Sunset Deck, three swimming pools, a boutique, library and an internet corner. Sun loungers, umbrellas and beach towels are free of charge.

The Deluxe Rooms (approx. 35 m²) have a bathroom with shower/WC, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, TV, minibar, and a private balcony with an island view (DD2/DD1).

Double Room Sea View Bandas

The Sea View Bandas rooms (approx. 55 m²) have the same amenities and include a private veranda with a view of the Indian Ocean (DM/DEM).

Tower Suites

The Tower Suites are located in the heart of the resort and offer breathtaking views of the sea and Chale Island. Their elevated position provides a unique perspective. The spacious bedroom and living area offer plenty of space to relax, and the private balcony is the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee over the sea at sunrise (S2/S1).

Due to the proximity to the island's nature reserve and the protection of its wildlife, electricity supply is limited during the day. Rooms are supplied with electricity from 5 PM to 10 AM.
