Location

This adults-only resort is located directly on the beautiful beach of Le Morne in the southwest of Mauritius. La Gaulette, with its shopping and entertainment options as well as a supermarket, is approximately 10 km away. The RIU Palace Mauritius is situated immediately adjacent to its sister hotel, RIU Turquoise. The capital, Port Louis, is about 60 km away. The transfer time from the airport is approximately 90 minutes.

The Riu Palace Mauritius features 310 rooms. In addition to a main restaurant with live cooking stations, there are two other à-la-carte restaurants, "Krystal" and "Koari Asian," as well as two further à-la-carte restaurants (Indian and Steakhouse) available at the neighboring RIU Turquoise hotel. Refreshing drinks are served at three different bars. The outdoor area includes two swimming pool facilities, one of which is exclusive to Elite Club guests. Sun terraces with sun loungers, cushions, and parasols are available free of charge.

The Junior Suites (approx. 33 m²) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, smart TV, air conditioning (centrally controlled), safe (included), minibar (included), kettle, and a furnished balcony or terrace (JS2). Available with partial sea view (JM2) or direct sea view (J2M) for an additional charge.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in buffet style; dinner can also be taken in one of the four à-la-carte restaurants (2 of which are located at the RIU Turquoise, subject to reservation). Continental late-riser breakfast is available at the Sports bar (10:30 am - 12:00 pm), while pizza, pasta, and salad are offered at the snack bar (12:00 pm - 3:00 pm), along with snacks (3:00 pm - 5:00 pm). Local and imported non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are served at the open bar (10:00 am - 12:00 am), as well as 24 hours a day at the Sports bar in the Riu Turquoise. Guests are also welcome to use the beach bar at the Riu Turquoise.

Sports included

Available at the sister hotel, Riu Turquoise: Fitness room in the spa area (for guests aged 16 and over), daily group fitness activities, beach volleyball, windsurfing (equipment for beginners provided), kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and one introductory scuba diving session in the pool per stay.

Diving, advanced windsurfing, and kitesurfing (all available at the sister hotel Riu Turquoise), as well as golfing opportunities at "Heritage Golf" (approx. 19 km away) and "Tamarina Golf" (approx. 30 km away).
