Location

The exclusive 5-star "Bawe Island Resort", part of the luxurious "Cocoon Collection" hotel chain, is located on the island of the same name, which spans approximately 30 hectares. After arriving at Zanzibar International Airport, guests are driven (included with package tour bookings; excluded for hotel-only bookings) for approximately 20 minutes to the capital, Stone Town. From there, a speedboat transfer takes about 15 minutes to Bawe Island. The speedboat transfer is organized by the hotel and is free of charge for arrival and departure for all guests on package or hotel-only bookings, provided the stay is 3 Days or longer (for stays under 3 Days, the cost is 500 USD per person, for 1-4 people round trip).

The resort consists of 70 exclusive villas with private pools and butler service, nestled amidst lush and wild nature. The island resort offers maximum privacy and exclusivity while remaining in close proximity to the capital, allowing guests to book various excursions at any time. This luxury-class hotel features a unique "Dine-Around" concept with 4 à-la-carte restaurants: "The Sand" main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, "Rising Sun" Asian teppanyaki restaurant, "Sinfonia" with Italian cuisine, and "The Beach Club" for adults only (10 am – 6 pm), as well as "The View Bar," which hosts occasional live music and DJ performances.

Sunrise Villa (SV2)

Every unit offers absolute privacy and total relaxation with a private pool and a large terrace with seating and a view of the sea. Decorated in a modern African style, each accommodation offers the following amenities: air conditioning, ceiling fan, Villeroy & Boch bathroom with separate shower, Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, relaxation area, telephone, minibar & spirits, ice maker, safe (electronic code), TV, room service, Nespresso coffee machine, free Wi-Fi, Frette linens and towels, and Etro toiletries. The approx. 200 m² Sunrise Villas are located on the east side of the island, where guests can enjoy wonderful sunrises. Sunset Suite (SUN)

The approx. 240 m² Sunset Suites feature the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas, but are located on the west side of the island, where guests can marvel at breathtaking sunsets. Each room features a king-size canopy bed, a large sunken living area, and the option to accommodate two extra beds (sofa beds). Sunset Suites are the perfect accommodation for couples and small families.

Lagoon Suite with Pool (L2F)

The approx. 170 m² Lagoon Suites feature the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas. In addition, these are spectacular overwater villas built over a beautiful crystal lagoon, characterized by refined and contemporary interior design. They are located on the east side of the island and feature a large terrace with a swimming pool and a private butler.

Zanzibar Villa (V12)

The approx. 310 m² Zanzibar Villas feature the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas; additionally, they are located directly on the beach with direct beach access. The entrance of the villa opens onto a large open-air living room with a lounge area and Etro sofas; further amenities include 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a corner bar, and a kitchen. The living room leads to a large veranda with a dining table, sofas, and comfortable loungers, where guests can refresh themselves with a dip in the private swimming pool or enjoy the seclusion of a private garden.

Sultan Palace (S2U)

The approx. 500 m² Sultan Palace is unique and features the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas. Additionally, it spans 2 levels. The ground floor houses two bedrooms with a large living room and kitchen area. On the first floor, there is the "Sultan" bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. This villa can accommodate up to 9 people.
