Day 1: Arrival and first safari in Saadani National Park
Departure from Zanzibar at approx. 3:00 PM to Saadani National Park. After a short flight, you will land at the Saadani Airstrip at 3:45 PM. After being welcomed by your safari guide, your first game drive will begin immediately. Elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, as well as numerous antelope and bird species characterize the fascinating wildlife of the region. To end the day, an atmospheric sundowner awaits you in the middle of the African bush landscape. Dinner and overnight stay at the safari lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and boat safari on the Wami River
The day begins with an early game drive when the wildlife is particularly active. Afterwards, you will take a relaxing boat safari on the Wami River, home to hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. You can spend the afternoon just as you wish: relaxing by the pool, exploring the coast by bicycle, or optionally participating in a village tour are all varied possibilities. Later, another exciting game drive is on the agenda. Dinner and overnight stay at the safari lodge.
Day 3: Discovery of the Saadani Marine Park
After breakfast, you will drive to the coast of Saadani Marine Park. During the season, sea turtles can be observed laying their eggs. Subsequently, a full-day marine safari by boat begins. The fascinating underwater world invites you to explore, while an idyllic sandbank offers perfect conditions for relaxation. A picnic lunch rounds off the experience. Return to the lodge in the afternoon. Depending on the tides, there is the possibility of another game drive or some relaxing hours at the lodge. Overnight stay at the safari lodge.
Day 4: Return flight to Zanzibar
The final day offers the choice between another early morning game drive or a picturesque river safari before breakfast. Afterwards, there is time to relax at the lodge before the transfer to Saadani Airstrip. The return flight to Zanzibar departs in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be received and transferred to your booked beach hotel.

The lack of authorisation is not due to specific safety problems with the individual airlines, but rather to the inspection and safety procedures of the Tanzanian aviation authority, which do not currently meet the safety requirements of the EU.
However, the airlines that we use for domestic flights (for example, for transfer flights from Zanzibar to mainland Tanzania) are subject to the international safety assessment ISSA of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) or a comparable safety assessment. These assessments correspond to the globally recognised safety standards of the aviation industry.
