Location

The 5-star Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Hotel is an exclusive luxury resort perched on the high plateau of the Al Hajar Mountains in Oman.
At an altitude of over 2,000 meters, it is considered one of the highest resorts in the Middle East and offers spectacular views of the breathtaking mountain panorama and surrounding canyons.

The modern Premier Canyon View rooms (PD2/PD1), designed in warm natural tones, are approx. 60 m² in size and feature a bathroom with a bathtub and separate rain shower, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, minibar, satellite TV, coffee machine, Wi-Fi, and a furnished balcony with a view of the canyon.
The rooms are located on the ground floor.

The Deluxe Canyon View rooms (DD2/DD1) feature the same size and amenities as the Premier Canyon View rooms.

The Deluxe Garden Pool Villa 1 BR (2DV) features the same size and amenities as the One Bedroom Garden Pool Villa. The villas have a private entrance and a parking space.
Please note that your booked room has a private pool and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty.
When traveling with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for their supervision yourself.

Local Customs and Etiquette:
Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and Drones:
Always ask for permission before taking photos of people. Avoid taking photos of government buildings and military sites. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and E-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed in licensed places such as hotels and restaurants, with the legal minimum age for alcohol consumption being 21. It is also possible for visitors to shop at the airport duty-free. Public drunkenness is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.

Seasonal information

During the fasting month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions in hotel operations. Hotels also use this time for maintenance and minor renovations, which may lead to disturbances such as pool closures, etc. Furthermore, some restaurants may be closed, as meals are not served everywhere.
The entertainment program at the hotel is cancelled or limited.
During Ramadan, eating, drinking, and smoking in public places is not permitted.

Entry requirements

German citizens can enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days. Entry into Oman requires a passport valid for at least 6 months after arrival, as well as a return flight ticket, confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and sufficient financial means for the stay.
