Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Muscat.
Day 2: Muscat
During a full-day sightseeing tour, participants will get to know the capital of Oman. Magnificent buildings, historical sights, and traditional life in the Sultanate provide an initial impression of the country's rich culture and history. Overnight in Muscat.
Day 3: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
Along the coast, the journey first leads to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with turquoise water. Afterwards, Wadi Shab or Wadi Tiwi, with their palm groves and impressive rock formations, are on the program. After the included lunch, continue to the coastal town of Sur. Overnight in Sur.
Day 4: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The day begins with the onward journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most famous wadis. Clear pools of water and lush vegetation create a charming contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the Wahiba Sands. The day ends with an atmospheric sunset over the golden dunes of the desert. Dinner and overnight in the desert camp.
Day 5: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. During an introductory tour, participants will gain insights into the historical old town, the fortress, and the traditional souk, which is considered one of the most famous markets in the country. Overnight in Nizwa.
Day 6: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen – Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen
Today, some of the cultural and scenic highlights of the Omani hinterland are on the program. The route leads via Bahla and the impressive Jabreen Castle to Al Hamra, one of the oldest places in Oman. This is followed by a visit to the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its traditional mud-brick houses and terraced gardens. Lunch included. Overnight in Nizwa.
Day 7: Nizwa – Jabal Shams
Today’s journey leads into the mountains of the Hajar range. The destination is Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in Oman at around 3,000 meters. From the viewpoints along the so-called "Grand Canyon of Oman," spectacular views of deep gorges and impressive rock landscapes open up. Dinner and overnight at Jabal Shams.
Day 8: Jabal Shams – Mountain Villages – Wadi Ghul – Muscat
After breakfast, there are more impressions of the Omani mountain region on the program. Passing traditional mountain villages and through the impressive Wadi Ghul, the journey leads back to the capital, Muscat. Lunch en route. Overnight in Muscat.
Day 9: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

In the Sultanate of Oman, most rooms are equipped with one king-size bed or two queen-size beds or 2 single beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 child, accommodation is provided with 1 king-size bed and, subject to availability, an extra bed/sofa bed (partly for a fee). For 2 adults and 2 children, accommodation is provided with 2 queen-size beds or 1 king-size bed as well as 1 or 2 extra beds/sofa beds (depending on availability and size of the rooms, and partly for a fee).

Local customs and etiquette:
The Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and drones:
Always ask for permission before taking photos of people. Avoid taking photos of government buildings and military sites. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and e-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed in licensed locations such as hotels and restaurants; the legal minimum age for alcohol consumption is 21 years. It is also possible for visitors to shop at the airport duty-free. Public intoxication is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.
