Location

The Canareef Resort Maldives is located in the southernmost atoll of the Maldives, the Addu Atoll – which has recently been declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The island offers optimal diving and snorkeling conditions. Surrounded by turquoise water, freshwater lakes, mangroves, and pristine nature, the island features its own private picnic island and one of the longest beaches (approx. 4.5 km) in the Maldives. It is the only resort in the country with direct access to a local island on foot via a connecting bridge. The transfer duration by domestic flight from Male airport is approx. 75 minutes, followed by a 10-minute boat ride.

Facilities

The resort features a total of 271 villas arranged along the beach on both sides of the island. Amenities include a lobby area with a reception and seating, as well as a souvenir shop. Culinary needs are catered for by a buffet restaurant serving international delicacies, as well as three bars. In addition, two swimming pools, one of which has an integrated children's pool, invite you to relax and unwind. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach. A highlight of the island are the several natural lakes, which are unique in the Maldives.

Sunrise Beach Villa

The spacious villas, built in a traditional style with many wooden elements, offer approx. 76 m² of living space and are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, telephone, coffee/tea making facilities, safe, minibar (for a fee), and a terrace located on the sunrise side. The villas are oriented toward the sea side. Views may be restricted by tropical vegetation. There is no beach on this side of the island. (S1V/SV2)

Sunset Beach Villa

With the same size and features, these villas are located on the sunset side. (S2V/SEZ)

Premium Beach Villa Jacuzzi

With the same features but more spacious (approx. 97 m²), located on the sunset side and additionally featuring a private outdoor Jacuzzi. There are also two sun loungers and a parasol on the wooden sun deck. The villas are oriented toward the sunset side. (2JV/1JV)
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential hazard for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.
