Location

This dream resort is located in the almost pristine Baa Atoll. Surrounded by wide, white, fine-sand beaches, the island measures approximately 650x195 meters and is situated in the north of the Maldives. Nature lovers will find plenty to enjoy, especially while snorkeling or diving in the vibrant house reef located directly in front of the island. The transfer time from Male International Airport is approximately 20 minutes by domestic flight, followed by approximately 35 minutes by speedboat. A seaplane transfer takes approximately 35 minutes and can be booked for an additional charge.

The Avani+ Fares Maldives, newly opened in 2023, features a total of 176 villas and pavilions, which are situated both on the island and on stilts over the water. Amenities include a modern lobby area with a reception and seating, as well as a boutique. A total of four restaurants, two bars, and a café provide for guests' culinary needs. Among these are "The Ocean Terrace" restaurant serving international cuisine, the "Charcoal" restaurant with fresh, aromatic grilled dishes, the "Smuggler's Shack" bar with the largest rum collection in the Maldives, as well as the "Petit Bistro" for younger guests. Additionally, the resort features a swimming pool with a separate children's pool and views of the sea. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Accommodation

Beach Villa

The Beach Villa (2BV) is approximately 88 m² and features a bathroom with a shower/WC, bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes/slippers, air conditioning, telephone, TV, safe, minibar (for a fee), Nespresso coffee machine, and a furnished terrace. (2BV) Also bookable for an additional charge as a Beach Pool Villa (VPZ) with a private pool.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Water Villa

The Water Villa (W2V) features the same amenities as the Beach Villa but is smaller (approx. 87 m²) and built on stilts over the water. Also bookable for an additional charge with a private pool (WVP).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Premium Ocean View

With similar amenities to the Beach Villa, the Premium Ocean View (P2O) is smaller (approx. 46 m²) and does not have a bathtub, but does feature a furnished balcony. Also bookable for an additional charge as a Premium Beachfront (PBF/PBS) which includes a bathtub.

Meals

BB/HB/FB

Rich breakfast buffet in Ocean Terrace, the main restaurant with international live-cooking stations. If half-board is booked, an additional dinner is included, which can be taken either at the international themed buffet (reservation required) or in one of the specialty restaurants. Choices include a 3-course menu at Skipjack or Charcoal (reservation required), tapas at Tribe, as well as a children's restaurant for ages 4–11.99. Drinks are not included. During the stay, snorkeling equipment is available free of charge, as is one hour of ocean kayaking daily, complemented by changing yoga, fitness, and wellness programs according to the resort schedule. With full board, both lunch and dinner at the buffet restaurant Ocean Terrace are included in addition to breakfast (reservation required). Drinks are charged based on consumption. Sports and activities are also included.

All Inclusive

All Inclusive

The All Inclusive package includes a rich breakfast buffet at Ocean Terrace as well as a choice of lunch and dinner in one of the offered restaurants. Options include the international buffet at Ocean Terrace (reservation required), a 3-course menu at Skipjack, curated tapas at Smuggler’s Shack, or the children's restaurant Petit Bistro (reservations sometimes required). Between 11:00 AM and midnight, an extended selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is available at all open bars at no extra charge. Additionally, minibar drinks and snacks are restocked daily according to the pantry menu (excluding wine). Furthermore, the All Inclusive package includes the use of snorkeling equipment, one hour of ocean kayaking daily, weekly yoga, breathwork, and sound healing sessions, as well as a varied sports program with fitness classes, tennis, and badminton—each according to the resort schedule.

Premium All Inclusive

The Premium All Inclusive package includes a generous breakfast at Ocean Terrace as well as free choice between various restaurants for lunch and dinner. Available options are the international buffet at Ocean Terrace (reservation required), a 3-course menu at Skipjack or Charcoal (reservation required), curated tapas at Smuggler’s Shack or Tribe, as well as the Petit Bistro for children from 4 to 11.99 years old. An extended premium selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is served at all open bars from 11:00 AM to midnight. Additionally, the minibar is restocked daily with drinks and snacks according to the pantry menu.
Premium All Inclusive also includes numerous additional benefits: free snorkeling equipment, one hour of ocean kayaking daily, weekly yoga, breathwork, and sound healing sessions, fitness and sports programs, as well as a one-time shisha session and a one-time laundry service of up to 30 pieces for stays of seven nights or more. Also included for guests staying seven nights or more is a sunset cruise during the stay.

Speedboat: Operation expected for arrivals/departures between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM // Domestic flight: Operation expected for arrivals/departures between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
There may be 1–2 intermediate stops during seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. Costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes caused by flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times during immigration (in these cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location) and currently most domestic flights only operate during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.
