Location

The resort is located on the private island of Kedhigandu in Dhaalu Atoll and is connected by a jetty to the neighboring island and the sister hotel RIU Atoll Maafushi located there. Transfer is by domestic flight (approx. 45 minutes) to the airport island of Kudahuvadhoo, followed by speedboat (approx. 15 minutes). A transfer by seaplane (approx. 45 minutes) can be booked for an additional charge and upon request.

Facilities

The RIU Place Maldivas Kedhigandu Island, newly opened in August 2019, has 176 rooms spread across the island and on stilts over the sea. Amenities include an open reception area with a reception desk and inviting seating areas. For your culinary well-being, there is the main restaurant, a specialty restaurant (Japanese cuisine) and a gourmet restaurant, as well as three bars. The outdoor infinity pool with a swim-up bar invites you to relax. Sun loungers, beach towels, and parasols are of course provided free of charge.

Junior Suite Ocean View

The Junior Suite Ocean View is approx. 40 m² in size, located on the 1st floor, and features a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, a combined living/sleeping area with air conditioning (centrally controlled), safe, ceiling fan, beverage dispenser, seating area, sofa, kettle, minibar, telephone, TV, and a balcony with sea view (JOV/JOE).

Beach Junior Suite Ocean View

With the same amenities as the Junior Suite Ocean View, located on the ground floor with a terrace and direct beach access (J2V/J1V).

Overwater Suite

The Overwater Suite is approx. 47 m² and, with the same amenities as the Junior Suite Ocean View, features a terrace with a Balinese bed, a bathtub, and direct access to the sea. These suites are located on stilts over the water (W2O).

Overwater Pool Suite

The Overwater Swim Up Suite is approx. 60 m² and, in addition to the amenities of the Overwater Suite, features a separate bathtub in the bathroom and a private pool (O2G).

Varied breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner also as a buffet (various theme nights 3 times a week) and 24-hour snacks. Optional à la carte dinner with reservation. National and international non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and selected premium drinks available 24 hours at the bars currently open. Replenishment of the minibar and beverage dispensers in the rooms is free of charge. Additionally, all facilities of the RIU Atoll can be used.

Sports included

Fitness room, group fitness classes in the RiuFit area (daily), kayak, pedal boats, stand-up paddling, surfing (SUP), snorkeling equipment, and 1 introductory diving session.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may include 1-2 intermediate stops.
For arrivals/departures outside the above times, in case of bad weather, or long immigration waiting times, an overnight stay in Malé may be required.
