Location

The luxurious hotel is located on the island of Kuredhivaru in the Noonu Atoll, north of Male. The private house reef is located directly in front of the island. The transfer is by seaplane and takes approximately 45 minutes.

Facilities

The resort, newly opened in November 2018, features 105 villas spread across land and over water. Amenities include a reception area with a front desk, a souvenir shop, and a business center. Three restaurants cater to your culinary needs; the main restaurant "ONU Marché" serves international dishes in buffet style with live cooking stations. There are 2 swimming pools on the island, an infinity pool, and a children's pool. Sun loungers, cushions, parasols, and bath towels are included at the beach and pool.

Beach Pool Villa Deluxe

The Beach Pool Villa Deluxe (V2H) (approx. 190 m²) features a bedroom, a living area, and a private sala on the upper level (approx. 9 m²). Equipment includes a bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, WC, outdoor shower, hairdryer, bathrobes/slippers, walk-in closet, air conditioning, LCD TV, safe, minibar with wine fridge (for a fee), espresso machine and tea maker, LCD TV, terrace with sun loungers, private pool, and direct access to the beach with a view of the sea. Also bookable on the sunset side for an extra charge (V2S).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, a minimum age of 6 years applies for children when booking these room types at Schauinsland-Reisen.

Overwater Pool Villa Lagoon

The Overwater Villa Lagoon (OV2) (approx. 140 m²), built on stilts directly over the sea, offers the same amenities but does not feature a private sala. However, they additionally feature a glass floor in the bedroom and an outdoor dining/lounge area with its own small pool and direct sea access. Also bookable on the sunrise side for an extra charge (WXS).

Speedboat: Operation for expected arrival/departure from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM // Domestic flight: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers during a seaplane transfer.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. Costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
From February 2021, a deposit via credit card or in cash will be required at check-in, which will be credited back at check-out.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it is possible that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Consequently, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children are in a room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.

Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island), as well as currently most domestic flights, only operate during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat at a later time.
