Location

The island of Veligandu, measuring approx. 600x150 m, is located in the beautiful North Ari Atoll and is considered a paradise for divers and snorkelers due to its blue lagoon and excellent house reef. The transfer to the island is by speedboat (approx. 60 minutes). For an additional charge and on request, the transfer can be carried out by seaplane in about 20 minutes from the international airport island of Hulhule.

Facilities

Two people sit at an open beach bar with a sea view and relaxed atmosphere.
Surrounded by white sandy beaches, the recently completely renovated resort consists of 100 villas and features an open reception area, an internet corner, a library, a photo shop, a tailor, and a souvenir shop. Culinary delights are provided by the "Dhonveli" main buffet restaurant featuring Asian and international cuisine, the "Raahlu" restaurant serving fish specialties and seafood, the "Madivaru" à la carte restaurant with Mediterranean dishes as well as Asian delicacies and a Teppanyaki grill. Cold refreshments are served at the "Raalhu" Bar, and the "Thundi" Bar also serves snacks. The infinity pool invites you to relax with its view over the beach. Sun loungers and beach towels are included at the pool and beach.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas, decorated in a tropical design, are approx. 71 m² in size and feature a semi-open bathroom with rain shower/WC, double vanity, hairdryer, bathrobes, king-size bed, air conditioning, safe, telephone, TV, power adapter, Wi-Fi, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, espresso machine, seating area, and a private furnished terrace with views of the lagoon (partially restricted by vegetation). Jacuzzi Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, the Jacuzzi Beach Villas are approx. 86 m² in size and feature a private whirlpool in the bathroom, a sun deck, and sea views. (2JV/1JV) Can also be booked on the sunset side for an additional charge. (SJV)

Jacuzzi Water Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Jacuzzi Beach Villas, the Jacuzzi Water Villas are built on stilts over the water with direct access to the sea. (JW2)

Ocean Villa Sunset

The Ocean Villas Sunset have the same amenities as the Beach Villas but are more spacious (approx. 102 m²) and built on stilts over the water with direct access to the sea. In addition, the rooms offer a hammock on the outdoor deck as well as an outdoor bathroom with shower and bathtub. (2OT)

Ocean Pool Villa

With similar amenities to the Jacuzzi Water Villa, these are significantly more spacious (approx. 125 m² incl. outdoor area) and additionally feature a private pool (approx. 17 m²) on the sun deck. These rooms do not offer a whirlpool. (OPV) Can also be booked on the sunset side with the option of à la carte breakfast for an additional charge (approx. 152 m²). (W2Z)

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers during seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. Costs are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions include changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or longer waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
As of May 1st, 2018, the hotel is no longer adults-only.
In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be a total of 1 or 2 large beds available. Consequently, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat later.

In the Maldives, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools can be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
