Location

The exotic island, lined with tall palm trees, is approx. 300 x 200 m in size and is located in the southern part of the North Male Atoll. It is known for its excellent cuisine, white sandy beach, and turquoise lagoon. The house reef is located about 60 m away. The transfer time from Male airport is approx. 25 minutes by speedboat.

Facilities

Open dining area with set tables under a thatched roof surrounded by greenery.
The small island offers a casual atmosphere and a paradisiacal holiday feeling. Facilities include a semi-open reception, a restaurant, a rustic bar (both with sand floors), a jeweler and souvenir shop, as well as a small infinity pool with a terrace (sun loungers and bath towels included).

Beach Bungalow

The rooms are comfortably furnished, approx. 53 m² in size, and feature a bathroom with a bathtub, separate outdoor shower, shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, and a furnished terrace (SBZ/SEB/RSB). The resort has both detached bungalows and two bungalows side-by-side (can only be selected as a non-binding customer request).

Water Bungalow

With the same amenities but slightly larger (approx. 56 m²) than the beach bungalows, these rooms feature a terrace with direct access to the lagoon, but without an open-air shower (2WB/1WB/3WB).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Superior Water Bungalow

Similar amenities to the water bungalows but significantly more spacious (approx. 78 m²) and with a more luxurious bathroom and a large open-air shower (WB2/WB3).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Meals

HP/HP+/VP/AI

For half-board bookings, breakfast and dinner are buffet-style. For full-board bookings, lunch is also included. Guests booked with half-board + receive breakfast and dinner buffet-style, as well as an additional selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks between 8 AM and midnight. The booked meal plan is not available between midnight and 7:30 AM; during this time, food and drinks must be paid for on-site. Meal services end at 12 PM on the day of departure.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style. Afternoon snacks, coffee, and tea. Selected national and international drinks, juices, house wine, cocktails, and mocktails are served by the glass from 8 AM to midnight. The booked meal plan is not available between midnight and 7:30 AM; during this time, food and drinks must be paid for on-site. Meal services end at 12 PM on the day of departure. Additionally, guests receive snorkeling equipment free of charge and one excursion (half-day island excursion or snorkeling tour).

Speedboat: Expected operation for arrivals/departures from 5 AM to 11 PM // Domestic flight: Expected operation for arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4 PM // Seaplane: Expected operation for arrivals/departures from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers during seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an intermediate overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. Costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes caused by flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in which case our local agency will take care of any necessary intermediate accommodation).
Most rooms in the Maldives are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be a total of 1 or 2 large beds available. Consequently, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children are in a room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.
