Location

Kurumba Maldives (approx. 500 x 300 m) is situated on the southern edge of the North Male Atoll and impresses with a large lagoon with crystal-clear water as well as white, gently sloping beaches. The house reef is located directly off the island. The main island, Male, is not far away, and the transfer time by speedboat is only 10 minutes.

Facilities

The hotel was one of the first resorts in the Maldives and therefore benefits from years of experience and a high standard of service. Its warm hospitality is popular not only with repeat guests. The resort has 180 rooms distributed across the entire island. Amenities include a lobby area with reception and seating, a small boutique, a souvenir shop, a jeweler, and an internet corner. Culinary needs are catered for by 6 à-la-carte restaurants (Middle Eastern, Thai, Indian, Japanese, and international cuisine as well as fish/seafood) and a buffet/main restaurant with international delicacies. Cool refreshments and delicious cocktails are served at a total of 3 bars and a shisha lounge. In the lush garden area, 2 pools with sunbathing areas and a children's pool invite you to relax and unwind. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available free of charge.

Superior Double Room

The approx. 74 m² superior rooms feature a queen-size bed, air conditioning and ceiling fan, safe (included), satellite TV, bathroom with bathtub and shower, bathrobes, hairdryer, outdoor shower, and minibar (for a fee) as well as coffee and tea-making facilities. The rooms have a balcony or terrace (DSU).

Deluxe Bungalow

Same size as the superior rooms, with a king-size bed and a veranda with a seating area (D2B).

Beachfront Deluxe Bungalow

With the same features and size as the deluxe bungalows, plus direct beach access (B2D).

Garden Pool Villa

With a size of approx. 124 m², these villas are embedded in the tropical garden and additionally feature a living area with a seating corner and a second TV (with sliding door) as well as a private pool with sun loungers (2PV).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Beach Villa

The approx. 103 m² beach villas offer similar amenities to the garden pool villas, with the addition of an outdoor whirlpool (B2V).

All meals in buffet form in the main restaurant. With booked full board (only bookable until Jan 10, 2024), a selection of drinks is included with lunch and dinner.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet form in the main restaurant. Snacks during the day and coffee/cake in the afternoon. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks by the glass from 10 am to 1 am at the open bars. In addition, guests receive a 50% discount on food in the à-la-carte restaurants (reservation required).

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times upon entry (in these cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island) as well as currently most domestic flights are only carried out during the day. It may therefore be necessary to spend an overnight stay in Male.
