Location

The Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is located on a lush, approximately 11.2-hectare private island nestled in the idyllic Raa Atoll. Its position on the western edge of the atoll gives the resort a particularly quiet and exclusive atmosphere. Guests can look forward to a nearly pristine natural landscape featuring powdery white sand beaches, turquoise water, and tropical vegetation. The Raa Atoll is renowned for its impressive underwater world. Surrounding the island are numerous first-class diving and snorkeling spots with colorful coral formations, vibrant reefs, and a fascinating variety of marine life. Additionally, there is a house reef located directly off the coast, easily accessible from the beach, which offers ideal conditions for spontaneous snorkeling sessions. Transfer is by seaplane (approx. 45 minutes).

The island features 81 villas distributed across the island, both on land and over the water. Facilities include a 24-hour reception, a boutique, a souvenir shop, and an air-conditioned beach library. Five restaurants and bars cater to your culinary needs. The main restaurant, "Seasalt," is located right on the beach and serves à la carte Mediterranean cuisine, fish, and seafood, as well as vegan dishes daily. Japanese dishes and fish/seafood are served at the specialty restaurant "Umami," also located directly on the beach. "Pibati Sul Mare" offers Italian cuisine such as pizza and pasta. The Mirus Bar provides snacks, cool refreshments, and a selection of Portuguese and Arabic-inspired cocktails and fine wines. You can find Asian-inspired cocktails, mocktails, shakes, and spirits at the Yakitori Bar. For romantic excursions, a visit to the private sandbank "The Shack," which also houses a restaurant, is highly recommended. Umbrellas, sun loungers with pads, and bath towels are provided free of charge at the swimming pools and on the beach.

Sunset Beach Pool Villa

The Sunset Beach Pool Villas (approx. 202 m²) are located directly on the beach on the sunset side. They feature an indoor and outdoor shower and bathtub, air conditioning, safe, coffee/tea maker, kettle, TV, free Wi-Fi, and a hairdryer. A terrace with loungers, seating, and a private pool is also provided. (S2V)

Lagoon Overwater Pool Villa

The Lagoon Overwater Pool Villas (approx. 125 m²) have the same amenities as the Sunset Beach Pool Villas, but the overwater villa is located on the sunrise side and is built on stilts over the water in the lagoon (OV2).

Sunset Water Pool Villa

The luxurious Sunset Water Pool Villas (approx. 125 m²) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, double vanity, high-quality toiletries, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, minibar, telephone, coffee/tea maker, TV, and Wi-Fi, as well as a king-size bed and an open living area. Additionally, they offer a spacious sun terrace with a private pool, seating area, and direct access to the lagoon, as well as dreamy ocean views towards the sunset. (WXT)

Breakfast in buffet form. If half-board is booked, daily breakfast, and lunch or dinner at the Seasalt restaurant are included. With full board, it is possible to enjoy lunch at Pibati as well, and water is included during lunch and dinner.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers during seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest.
