Location

The sprawling island (1600 x 440 m) is one of the largest in the Maldives. It is located in the South Ari Atoll, with a white sandy beach approximately 3 km long and a turquoise lagoon. The house reef, rich in marine life, is about 300-400 m away and easily accessible via a jetty. The transfer takes approx. 20-25 minutes by domestic flight with FlyMe to Maamigili Island Airport, approx. 5 minutes by minibus to the boat jetty, and another 10 minutes by boat (Dhoni). For arrivals from 1.11.25 onwards, transfers by seaplane are also available (transfer duration approx. 35 minutes).

This dreamlike holiday resort offers something for everyone: whether you're seeking peace and quiet or an active holiday, everyone will get their money's worth here. The resort's facilities, with their relaxed atmosphere, include an attractively designed reception area with a lounge, a safe for rent, and a small shopping arcade with various shops. For culinary delights, there are six restaurants, including two main restaurants, four à la carte restaurants, five bars, as well as lounges and a coffee shop. The à la carte restaurants include the "Sun Star Thai Restaurant," serving authentic Thai dishes with sea views, the "AI Pontile" with an Italian-inspired menu, the "Teppanyaki Restaurant," offering a Japanese dining experience near the beach, and "ZERO," a garden restaurant hidden in the jungle that promises a unique dining experience in the treetops. Surrounded by tall coconut palms, you'll find a beautiful pool landscape with a waterfall, a separate children's pool, a pool bar, and a sun terrace. Sun loungers and beach towels by the pool and on the beach are included.

The bungalows have a shower/WC and some have an outdoor shower, hairdryer, ceiling fan, telephone, satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), safe, coffee/tea maker, and a terrace with 2 sun loungers facing the sea (S2T/S1T). Subject to a surcharge, they can also be booked facing the sunset (SVZ).

Beach Villa with Whirlpool

The Beach Villa with Whirlpool offers the same amenities as the Beach Villa, plus a Jacuzzi, and is more spacious (2JV).

Island Villa

Same amenities as the Beach Villa, but more spacious with a bathtub and outdoor shower (D2V/D1V). Subject to a surcharge, it can also be booked with a private pool (V2H) or facing the sunset (KN2). (Deluxe Beach Villa or Sunset Deluxe Beach Villa).

The Beach Villa Pool has the same amenities as the Beach Villa, plus a private pool, and is more spacious (VPZ).

The Lagoon Beach Pool Villa has the same amenities as the Lagoon Beach Villa, plus a private pool on the terrace (B2E).

Lagoon Beach Villa

The Lagoon Beach Villa offers more privacy and lagoon access compared to the Beach Villa (LV2).

Water Villa

Same amenities as the Beach Villa, but built on stilts with direct lagoon access (without outdoor shower (W2V)). Subject to a surcharge, it can also be booked facing the sunset (SWZ).

Sun Villa

The Sun Villas are located in the second row with similar amenities to the Beach Villas, offering a semi-open bathroom and a terrace with a daybed and garden view (S2N/S1N).

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served buffet-style in one of the two main restaurants. Water is included with meals. Half board is only bookable until 31.10.23 inclusive.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All meals are served buffet-style in the main restaurant "Maaniyaa" or, if staying in a water bungalow, in the "Southern Star" restaurant. In the afternoon, coffee/tea with various snacks and cakes are available at the coffee shop. House wine, beer, cocktails, gin, vodka, rum, whiskey, bottled water, soft drinks and juices by the glass are available at the beach bar, the main bar, the beach bar, the coffee shop, and in the respective main restaurant (no cocktails, gin, vodka, rum, or whiskey) during meal times and the respective opening hours of the bars. Guests staying 5 nights or more receive an à la carte menu at one of the à la carte restaurants. Additionally, a 15% discount on further à la carte dishes, a 10% discount on diving, and a 15% discount on treatments and massages in the spa area.

The "Aaramu Spa," surrounded by tropical vegetation, is one of the largest spas in the Maldives and offers open-air treatment rooms, a beauty and Ayurveda center, and its own bar. Treatments and massages can be booked directly on-site (for a fee).
