Location

Newly opened in June 2019, the Hard Rock Hotel Maldives is located in the North Male Atoll on an island 490 m long and 132 m wide, featuring beautiful white sandy beaches and tropical vegetation. Due to the short transfer times and the diverse leisure opportunities on the island, it is perfect for Maldives beginners, honeymooners, and families. Male airport is approximately 15 minutes away by speedboat.

The modern resort, designed in the signature Hard Rock Hotels style, features a total of 178 rooms and villas on land and over the water. Amenities include an open reception area, a souvenir shop, and a boutique. Dining options include the all-day dining restaurant "Sessions" with international cuisine, the specialty restaurant "The Elephant and The Butterfly" with international and Mexican cuisine, the typical "Hard Rock Café" with international cuisine, and a pool bar. The infinity pool invites guests to relax and linger, with loungers, cushions, and sunshades provided free of charge. Further entertainment options can be found on the "Marina" island, which is accessible via a bridge about 500 m away. The "Marina" features a beach club, a duty-free shop, the Maldives Discovery Center, a yacht marina, various restaurants, and much more.

Silver Sky Studio

The studios are approx. 46 m² in size, located on the upper floor, and feature a bathroom with bathtub or shower/WC, bathrobe/slippers, vanity mirror, hairdryer, signature toiletries, air conditioning, ceiling fan, 43-inch LCD TV with IPTV, soundbar, safe, minibar (for a fee), tea/coffee maker, furnished balcony, and sea view (SY2).

Silver Beach Studio

With the same features and size, these rooms are located on the ground floor and feature a furnished terrace (UH2).

Gold Beach Villa

Similar to the Silver Sky Studios, but larger (approx. 62 m²), they additionally feature a sofa and a furnished terrace (can also be booked with a private pool for an extra charge starting from 01.04.22) (B2V).

Platinum Overwater Villa

Same features as the Silver Sky Studios (approx. 75 m² incl. outdoor area), located over the water and built into the lagoon, with a private sundeck, loungers, and direct access to the sea (W2V).

Speedboat: Expected for arrivals/departures from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. // Domestic flight: Expected for arrivals/departures from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. // Seaplane: Expected for arrivals/departures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
Seaplane transfers may include 1–2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location) as well as currently most domestic flights are only carried out during daylight hours. An overnight stay in Male may therefore be necessary.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may be that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Consequently, it may occur that when staying with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.
