Location

This traditional hotel is located directly on the Bentota River, which flows into the Indian Ocean. The kilometer-long, palm-fringed sandy beach is right on the doorstep. The town center with its shopping facilities and local restaurants, as well as a variety of attractions and historical sights, are only a few minutes' walk away. Colombo is approximately 80 km away, and the airport is approximately 112 km away.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel takes approximately 1.5–2 hours.

Completely renovated in 2019, this luxury hotel features a total of 155 rooms. Facilities include a modern lobby with a reception, an arcade, a small souvenir shop, and a craft village. Additionally, the resort features four restaurants: an all-day dining restaurant inspired by Hawker Street, an Asian theme restaurant, an Italian restaurant, and a fish specialty restaurant, leaving no culinary wish unfulfilled. End the evening with a cool drink at the lounge bar, which offers magnificent panoramic views over the garden and the sea. The extensive garden area includes two swimming pools and a children's pool, a sun terrace (towels and sun loungers included), and a swim-up pool bar.

These rooms offer the same amenities with direct pool access. (OC2/OC1)
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential hazard for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Luxury Beach Access

The Luxury Access rooms are similar in size but feature more luxurious furnishings. They are located on the lower floors and offer direct access to the garden and beach from the terrace. (LBF)

With the same amenities and size as the Luxury Beach Access rooms, these are located on the upper floors and offer a spectacular ocean view. (2LV)
