Day 1: Colombo Airport – Dambulla-Sigiriya
Arrival at Colombo airport, welcome by the tour guide and departure at approx. 12:00 PM towards Dambulla. Visit the impressive cave temples with countless Buddha statues, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site. Guests who have already booked a pre-stay will meet the group at the airport in the morning.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Kasyapa Rock or similar.
Day 2: Sigiriya
After breakfast, drive to the famous rock fortress of Sigiriya. Climb the 200m high Lion Rock, where King Kassapa built a fortress in the 5th century. In the afternoon, you can either relax at the hotel or participate in an optional excursion to Polonnaruwa.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Kasyapa Rock or similar.
Day 3: Sigiriya – Matale-Kandy
On this day, you will continue towards Kandy and visit a typical spice and herbal garden in Matale along the way. Continue to Kandy, the last royal city of the country. City tour in Kandy. Optionally, you can visit the Temple of the Tooth. In the evening, attend a traditional dance show.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Thilanka or similar.
Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya-Kandy
After visiting a gem cutting workshop, the journey continues via serpentines up into the evergreen mountains of the island. During a visit to a tea factory, the workers will explain their craft and you will be served a cup of freshly brewed tea. In Nuwara Eliya, known as the city above the clouds, you can still feel the influence of the English colonial masters today. City tour and market visit.

Day 5: Kandy – Colombo
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya. Known for its countless plants, orchids, and tropical flora, it is considered one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Asia. (For package tours, the transfer to the connecting hotel is automatically included; for component bookings, this can be added on request and for a fee).

Beaches

The beaches are generally public natural beaches. Depending on current and weather conditions, sand may be eroded from the beach.
