Location

For a unique break from everyday life, guests at Tropical Islands Woodland can immerse themselves in naturalistic Woodland Homes, situated outside the Tropical Islands complex in a green and quiet setting. The Tropical Islands Resort is nestled in the idyllic nature of the popular Spreewald region, which is rich in interesting sights and excursion destinations, making it an ideal starting point for ventures into a culturally and historically interesting area. Please note: The Tropical Islands hall is approx. a 15-minute walk or approx. a 5-minute drive away. A shuttle service operates (please check the local timetable).

The Woodland Homes are ideal for families and guests who, after an adventurous and active day of swimming at Tropical Islands, want to enjoy a quiet and restful night in their own little four walls a bit outside the main area. In addition to bathing fun for the whole family, Tropical Islands offers a variety of dining options, entertainment in the Tropino Kids Club, diverse accommodation options, and a sauna landscape divided into 7 different areas. Bathe in the South Sea or take a trip to the Bali Lagoon. Go on an exciting expedition in the largest indoor rainforest in the world.
The year-round outdoor area of Tropical Islands, "AMAZONIA," offers fantastic water attractions across a gigantic 35,000 m² area, extensive sunbathing and sports areas, as well as numerous wellness and relaxation opportunities for the whole family.
An incredible water slide adventure awaits you at Tropical Islands! Germany's tallest water slide tower, at a staggering 27 meters high, offers five different slides. From the cozy family slide with the wide wave slide to a head-to-head race on our Double Racer slide, everyone will find their perfect sliding experience here! If that is not enough, why not visit the Jungle Splash right next door!

Woodland Home

The comfortable Woodland Homes feature a TV, a bathroom (shower, WC), an additional bathroom (sink, WC), an electric outdoor grill (on request in winter), a furnished terrace, and two bedrooms. The Woodland Homes have a living/dining area with a kitchen (equipped with microwave, stove, kettle, coffee machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher). The bedrooms contain 1 double bed and 2 single beds (approx. 35m², WM0).

Sunrise 4-person Homes (from Winter '26)

The Sunrise 4-person Homes are approximately 50m² in size and are equipped with a TV, a bathroom with a shower and a separate WC, an electric outdoor grill (on request in winter), a furnished terrace, and two bedrooms. The Sunrise Homes have a living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, electric stove, oven including grill and microwave function, coffee machine, kettle). In the bedrooms, one room has a double bed and the other has two single beds (FHB).
Additional inventory bookable as Holiday Home Type C (FHC).

Entertainment

Experience the tropics right in the middle of Germany! The unique tropical, wellness, and bathing landscape offers an unforgettable experience.
Spanning approx. 66,000 m², it welcomes you with the world's largest indoor rainforest, Europe's largest tropical sauna landscape, the South Sea with a 200m sandy beach, and many more superlatives.
At around 26°C, you can relax in a deckchair 365 days a year, feel the fine sand under your feet, and enjoy the sunset on the beach. Or explore the South Sea, which is as large as three Olympic swimming pools and has a comfortable water temperature of 28°C.
The children's paradise, the Tropino Kids Club with a go-kart track and many other play facilities, will make children's eyes light up. A mini-golf course (for a fee) and Germany's tallest water slide tower offer unique entertainment and sporting challenges.

AMAZONIA, the year-round outdoor area of Tropical Islands. In addition to the pool landscape, the main attractions are the Whitewater River, Germany's longest white-water canal, and Pororoca, the surf simulator.
From the end of October, the AMAZONIA outdoor area switches to winter operation (limited use; Monday-Sunday 11:00 AM - 5:45 PM; subject to change). The year-round pool and the Whitewater River are available during these modified hours. All other outdoor attractions are closed until the summer season.
Summer operations run from April 5 to September 30, 2025 (Monday-Sunday 10:00 AM - 7:45 PM; opening hours may vary depending on weather conditions).

Spanning over 35,000 square meters, there are water attractions with a total surface area of 1,350 square meters, extensive sunbathing areas for over 2,500 guests, and numerous facilities for sports activities and dining.
The portal of an Inka temple forms the themed passageway from the hall to the outdoor Tropical Islands AMAZONIA area.
A real adventure awaits guests here: Germany's longest white-water canal, the Whitewater River. The canal winds through the landscape over 250 meters with branches and varying gradients, with a level difference of up to 3.5 meters.

A pool of 530 square meters with various whirlpool and massage loungers, neck showers, waterfalls, and a massage station offers relaxation for wellness fans. Various water features, such as geysers, whirlpool wave hills, or floor bubble systems, ensure bathing fun for young and old alike. While children train their balance on the skill course, adults can relax and drift through the Lazy River canal.
In another pool, visitors can primarily engage in sports activities. On a water surface of 390 square meters, there are three 25-meter lanes, swing grottos, a waterfall, a wide wave slide, and two rain gates, which are perfect for a boisterous water polo match.
All pools and the Whitewater River are heated; the temperature is around 31 degrees Celsius.
In the Spray Area, equipped with fun and splashy water games, little guests in particular can have fun while parents relax in the adjacent Relax Pool, keeping an eye on their children.
The outdoor area is embedded in a dune landscape. In addition to sunbathing areas, there is also a surf simulator (for a fee) and sports areas. There is a beach soccer field that meets official competition guidelines. Another sports field can be divided as required and used for beach volleyball, for example.

Trial diving in the South Sea
> Diving is, of course, part of the South Sea experience: Experience weightless adventures underwater. The program teaches you the first steps into the world of diving. Breathing underwater is an experience you will never forget!

It's going to be splashy: at the new Jungle Splash water playground! At over 650 square meters and a total height of over 15 meters, with 8 slides and many additional play options, it is one of the largest in Germany.
