Location

The Grand Blue Hotel is beautifully situated on a hillside with a breathtaking view of the azure sea. It is located in Kardamena, above a small, private sand/pebble beach. Shops and entertainment facilities are in the vicinity. The town of Kardamena and a bus stop can be reached in approx. 500m. Kos Airport is approx. 7 km away.

The sprawling, family-friendly complex features 230 bungalow-style rooms and offers a 24-hour reception, a lobby renovated for Summer 2025, 3 lifts, an internet corner, free Wi-Fi throughout the complex, 2 buffet restaurants (Greek and international cuisine), 1 à la carte restaurant (reservations required), 4 bars, and a mini-market.
The well-maintained outdoor area includes 3 swimming pools, one of which is adults-only, 2 children's pools, a pool bar, and a sun terrace. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.
Admission to the Lido water park (open from June-September, weather permitting) with shuttle service from the hotel is included.

The rooms, renovated for 2025, feature a bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually controlled air conditioning, safe, telephone, Smart TV, mini-fridge (bottle of water on arrival), coffee/tea station with refill every two days, kettle, and a balcony or terrace (DSU). Optionally available for single use (DSE/DAE), with sea view for an extra charge (DMU/DMI), or for single use with sea view (DME/AME).

These modernly furnished rooms, with the same amenities as the Double Rooms, additionally feature a Nespresso machine, pillow menu, premium bedding, and a mini-fridge stocked with soft drinks on arrival (DDM/MDI).

The more spacious Comfort Double Rooms, with otherwise the same amenities as the Double Rooms, consist of a combined living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom (DKO).

Renovated Junior Suite

The elegant Junior Suites, renovated for 2025, feature the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior and consist of a combined living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom (JS2/JSI).

Renovated Grand Blue Suite Sea View

These suites, with the same amenities as the Junior Suites, feature Smart TVs in the bedroom and in the living/sleeping area, a Nespresso machine (refilled every two days), and a balcony or terrace with sea view (J2M). Guests in this room category also receive a complimentary rental car for one day for stays of 5 nights or more, and a mini-fridge stocked with soft drinks on arrival.

Family Suite

The elegant Family Suites were renovated for Summer 2025 and feature a living area with a sofa bed for children, a separate bedroom, bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually controlled air conditioning, safe, telephone, Smart TV, mini-fridge (bottle of water on arrival), coffee/tea station with refill every two days, kettle, and a balcony or terrace (2FS).

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2:30 pm), and dinner (6:30-9:30 pm) are served in the buffet restaurants.
Alternatively, you can opt for a late riser's breakfast (10-11 am) or dine at the à la carte restaurant (reservations required). A light lunch is available at the "Azure" restaurant from 12 pm to 2 pm.
From 10 am to 5 pm, various cold snacks, ice cream (10 am-10 pm at the "Serenity" and "Seabreeze" pool bars), coffee/tea (various coffee types like filter coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, Greek coffee, Frappé, Fredo Espresso/Cappuccino, etc.) are available at the pool bar.
Local and international non-alcoholic and alcoholic branded drinks such as whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, brandy, tequila, long drinks, various cocktails, 2 different brands of bottled and draft beer, 2 different types of wine, house wine, soft drinks, coffee/tea, and water are included from 10 am to midnight at the respective open bar.

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from 1.1.2018 onwards, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience levy, payable by guests locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of 1.1.2025, ranges from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day per room.
