Location

The hotel is located on a hillside, approximately 250 m from Monofatis Bay (sand/pebble beach). A complimentary minibus shuttle provides a transfer to the swimming bay below the hotel 5 times a day. The town center of Agia Pelagia is about 2 km away. The rustic tavernas, bars, and cozy restaurants in the town center and along the beach promenade of Agia Pelagia offer plenty of variety. The distance to Heraklion airport is approx. 28 km.

Facilities

Rooftop terrace with seating and glass railing, sunset on the horizon.
The quietly situated resort features a total of 209 rooms distributed across 5 buildings (located between 50m and 250m from the main building, with some steep paths and stairs). In the main building, guests have access to a lobby bar, Wi-Fi (included, also in the annex buildings), and seating areas in the lobby. The buffet restaurant with a non-smoking area, the à-la-carte restaurant "Panorama" (open depending on weather conditions), mini spa facilities, a fitness area, and a mini-market are also available to guests. The well-maintained outdoor grounds include six swimming pools (including 2 children's pools, one with a slide), a sun terrace overlooking the sea and the bay, and two pool/snack bars. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pools and are available for a fee at the public beach.

Double Room Sea View

The friendly furnished rooms are located in the main building and feature a bath or shower/WC, tiled floor, hairdryer, telephone, rental safe, satellite TV with music channel, mini-fridge, air conditioning (individually adjustable, hot/cold), and a balcony or terrace with sea view (DM/DMI).

Double Room Type A

Feature the same facilities as the double rooms but without sea view. These rooms are located in the annex buildings (DA). Optionally bookable for single occupancy (DEA).

Executive Double Room Sea View

Feature the same facilities as the double rooms with sea view, with the addition of extra toiletries, and are also located in the main building (EXM).

Executive Double Room Sea View Whirlpool

Feature the same facilities as the Executive Double Room Sea View with an outdoor whirlpool (2JX).
The whirlpool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety hazard for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Double Room Luxury Sea View Private Pool

Feature the same facilities as the double room with sea view, with the addition of extra toiletries, a private pool, and are located in the main building. Guests of these room types receive a welcome package upon arrival, consisting of a fruit basket and house wine. Further services include complimentary pool towel service and free breakfast service in the room (upon request). Additionally, slippers, bathrobes, and coffee and tea-making facilities are available in the room. Use of the safe is free of charge. For stays of at least 7 days, there is the possibility of having a complimentary dinner (set menu) in the Panorama à-la-carte restaurant. Drinks are excluded from this. (PPZ)

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room starting January 1, 2025.
