Location

The Atlantica Akti Zeus hotel is located directly on the long sandy/pebble beach of Ammoudara. In the immediate vicinity, you will find numerous shops and entertainment options, and a bus stop is only about 120 m away. Heraklion city center can be reached in approx. 12 km. Heraklion Airport is also easily accessible and is located approx. 15 km from the hotel.

The family-friendly resort features 368 rooms spread across 3 buildings, offering a lobby with a 24-hour reception, elevators, 1 buffet restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants (Italian and Greek; for a fee, reservations required), several bars, a wine cellar, souvenir shop, jeweler, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included throughout the resort. The well-maintained garden area includes a hotel-owned water park with several slides (admission included, bar in the water park for a fee) as well as 2 swimming pools with sun terraces and pool/snack bars. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Towels can be rented for a deposit. Parking spaces at the hotel are included, subject to availability.

Double Room

The modernly furnished rooms feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, double bed or 2 single beds, telephone, LCD TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, mini-fridge, safety deposit box, coffee/tea maker, and a balcony or terrace (D). For a 3rd or 4th person, there are extra beds available (DA/DB).

Family Room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, a sliding door (not available in all rooms) separates additional sleeping facilities (DF2).

Suite

The spacious suites, with the same amenities as the double rooms, consist of a living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom (no connecting door) (S2).

Superior Family Room

The Superior Family Rooms, otherwise with the same amenities as the double rooms, also offer an additional separable sleeping area (F2U).

Meals

All Inclusive

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10:30 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) are served buffet-style. Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are also available. There are occasional themed dinner nights.
Once per stay, you can enjoy dinner at the Greek à la carte restaurant (reservations required).
Snacks are available throughout the day from 10:30 AM to 6 PM, and coffee, tea, and pastries are served in the afternoon from 4 PM to 5 PM. Snacks are also available at the lobby bar after 11 PM.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included at the respective open bar from 10 AM to 12 AM.

Information on climate resilience fee

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room as of 01.01.2025.
