The expansive Civitel Creta Beach resort is located directly on the sandy beach of Ammoudara and is only approx. 5 km from the center of Heraklion. Cafés and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel. The distance to Heraklion airport is approx. 12 km.

The beautiful hotel, with a total of 174 rooms spread across a main building and several bungalow buildings, features a lobby with a 24-hour reception, an air-conditioned main restaurant with a terrace, two à la carte restaurants, and a bar. In the well-maintained outdoor area, there is a garden, a swimming pool, and a separate children's pool. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Bath towels can be borrowed free of charge. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel complex.

The double rooms are situated amidst the landscaped gardens, are about a two or three-minute walk from the beach, and feature a bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), coffee/tea maker, minibar (included once upon arrival, thereafter for a fee), safe for rent, flat-screen satellite TV, tiled floor, and a balcony or terrace (D/DI). Bungalow

The bungalows at Creta Beach were originally designed in the late 1960s by visionary architects who wanted to preserve the natural character of the beach and build discreet, low-rise chalets instead of towering hotels. Today, this concept is very important to the eco-friendly philosophy of Creta Beach, which retains the charm of the original bungalows while having been completely modernized inside and out. They feature a bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), coffee/tea maker, minibar (included once upon arrival, thereafter for a fee), safe for rent, flat-screen satellite TV, tiled floor, and a terrace (B2A/B2B). Optionally bookable for single use (B1B).

Family Room

The spacious family rooms feature four single beds and a balcony or terrace with views of the hotel garden or the sea. The family rooms have an additional bedroom (without door). Authentic influences and a modern, minimalist style meet, while guests can expect a clear, calm color scheme with vibrant accents and traditional flair. It has a private bathroom with a bathtub and complimentary toiletries. (1 bunk bed or 2 sofa beds, DF2).

Bungalow Superior

The Superior Bungalows are the ideal choice for couples who like extra space or for couples with one child, thanks to the additional sofa bed. Surrounded by natural grass and palm trees, they offer the highest level of space and comfort. They feature a bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), coffee/tea maker, minibar (included once upon arrival, thereafter for a fee), safe for rent, flat-screen satellite TV, tiled floor, and a terrace (2BU).

Bungalow Premium

Feature the same facilities as the Bungalow Superior, but are more modern (BP2).
Optionally bookable as Premium Waterfront Bungalow with shower/WC (BW2).

Family Bungalow

The family rooms are located in the bungalows, are kept in an open-plan style, and, while having the same facilities as the double rooms, include additional single beds for the 3rd and 4th person (FBC).

Premium Junior Suite Waterfront

The recently renovated Premium Junior Suites Waterfront feature, in addition to the same facilities as the double rooms, a combined living/sleeping room with a sofa bed and a further bedroom with a double bed, private terrace, and views of the Aegean Sea (2WJ).

Meals

Half Board

Breakfast (7–10 am) and dinner with show cooking (7–9:15 pm) are offered in buffet style. Breakfast can optionally be taken as an early bird breakfast (6:30–7 am) or as a late riser breakfast (10:30–11:30 am).
For stays of at least 7 nights, there is the possibility once per stay to have dinner in the à la carte restaurant. A reservation is required for this. Theme dinners take place three times a week.
A children's menu is available at the buffet, as are vegetarian dishes and meals for special dietary needs. A packed lunch can be ordered upon request by 7 pm the day before. Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

All Inclusive

Premium All Inclusive

Breakfast (7–10 am), lunch (12:30–2 pm), and dinner (7–9:15 pm) in buffet style.
Early bird breakfast is offered in the main restaurant from 6:30–7 am. A late continental breakfast is served at the snack bar from 10:30–11:30 am.
Snacks, pizza, and ice cream are offered at the pool bar from 10 am–6 pm.
For lunch and dinner, water, soft drinks, juices, local draft beer, and house wine are included in self-service style. Once per stay (for stays of at least 7 nights), a free dinner is possible in the à la carte restaurant from 7–9:30 pm upon prior reservation. Additionally, three theme evenings per week as well as two BBQ lunches per week are offered.
Drinks are included at the designated bars from 10 am–midnight and include soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea, local draft beer, house wine (red, white, and rosé), local spirits (raki, brandy, ouzo), as well as international alcoholic drinks such as vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, and vermouth, as well as long drinks and cocktails.
A children's menu is available at the buffet, as are vegetarian dishes and meals for special dietary needs. A packed lunch can be ordered upon request by 7 pm the day before. Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

Destination information - Climate resilience levy

For stays from 01/01/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and has been staggered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room as of 01/01/2025.
