Location

The popular Paralos Kosta Alímia holiday hotel, redesigned for the summer of 2024, welcomes guests aged 13 and over as a 5-star resort (adults-friendly). It is located in the Anissaras holiday area, directly on a 150 m long beach covering approximately 5000 m², which is only separated from the hotel by the rarely used, kilometer-long promenade (bathing shoes recommended).
There are a few mini-markets, bars, and tavernas near the hotel. The lively tourist center of Hersonissos, with its numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, is only 4 km to the east. The smaller and quieter village of Analipsi can be reached comfortably in a 15-minute walk to the west. The capital, Heraklion, is approx. 22 km away and can be reached by local bus.
Various attractions such as the Palace of Knossos, the Palace of Malia, the Lasithi Plateau, or the beautiful Gulf of Mirabello with the famous island of Spinalonga can also be explored.

The well-known property (formerly Paralos Kosta Mare) opened its doors in 1988 and has developed over 30 years into one of the best-known and most popular hotels on Crete. Since summer 2024, the property has belonged to the PURE LUXE category of Paralos Hospitality Hotels. Following an extensive renovation that began in previous years and was completed for summer 2024, the Paralos Kosta Alímia shines in a new design.
The hotel features 152 rooms, a reception lobby with 24-hour reception and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a lounge with terrace and elevator, a lobby bar with terrace, and 5 à la carte restaurants. In the beautifully landscaped grounds, in addition to a sunbathing area with high-quality loungers with comfortable cushions and parasols, there are a total of 12 pools (including sharing pools and private pools). A heated indoor pool in the spa area and two main pools each offer an integrated whirlpool. The impressive infinity pool is equipped with water loungers and a state-of-the-art underwater music system, providing a unique swimming experience. In addition, there are two new sharing pools and seven private pools. The pool bars surprise with a new design as well as modern and luxurious furniture.
On the beach, in addition to high-quality loungers with comfortable cushions and umbrellas, elevated seat cushions and gazebos (Bali beds) are included. Additionally, there is a beach and pool service that serves drinks directly to your lounger. For stays from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and is staggered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of Jan 1, 2025.
For stays in the high season Apr 1 - Oct 31:
1-2 star accommodation category: 2 Euros
3 star accommodation category: 5 Euros
4 star accommodation category: 10 Euros
5 star accommodation category: 15 Euros
For stays in the low season Nov 1 - Mar 31:
1-2 star accommodation category: 0.50 Euros
3 star accommodation category: 1.50 Euros
4 star accommodation category: 3 Euros
5 star accommodation category: 4 Euros

From Heraklion airport, drive onto the national road towards Agios Nikolaos. Leave the national road towards Hersonissos. At the intersection, turn right to the Lassithi Plateau and left to Hersonissos. Then turn left to the intersection. At this intersection, turn right towards Hersonissos and left towards Anissaras. Pass straight through the intersection, turn left directly behind the bus stop, and follow the small parallel road towards Anissaras. The first road on the right leads directly to the Paralos Kosta Alimia.
