The 5-star Mitsis Royal Mare resort is located directly on the Blue Flag awarded beach of Anissaras. Bars, restaurants, as well as shopping and entertainment venues are within walking distance. Heraklion Airport is approximately 25 km away, and there is a bus stop about 180 m away.

The sprawling, modern hotel complex features 385 luxuriously appointed rooms and offers an entrance hall with a 24-hour reception and lobby, a main restaurant, five à la carte restaurants, four bars, a boutique, a mini-market, and a beautiful wellness area with a heated indoor pool. The outdoor area includes a pool landscape with two saltwater swimming pools, a saltwater whirlpool, a children's pool, and many private as well as communal pools. Sun loungers and sunshades are included at the pool and on the beach. Pool towels can be borrowed free of charge. Wi-Fi is included throughout the entire hotel grounds.

The spacious double rooms feature a bedroom with an integrated seating area as well as a bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, coffee/tea maker with daily replenishment, minibar with daily replenishment, a welcome drink upon arrival, and a furnished terrace or balcony with a garden view (B2A). Also available for single use (B1A), with side sea view (2BS), or with direct sea view (B2M).

The spacious double rooms feature a bedroom with an integrated seating area as well as a bathroom/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, coffee/tea maker with daily replenishment, minibar with daily replenishment, a welcome drink upon arrival, and a furnished terrace with direct access to the sharing pool (BX2).
The communal pool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We ask for prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Suite sharing pool

The suites consist of a bedroom, a living room/bedroom, and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi. In addition to the same amenities as the bungalows, the suites also feature an espresso machine, a soundbar, a separate bathroom with shower and WC, bathrobes, slippers, a welcome package, a welcome drink upon arrival, and access to a sharing pool with a garden view (SSH).

The Mitsis Royal Mare offers tasty delicacies and varied drinks around the clock.
Early riser breakfast (4:00 AM - 7:00 AM), breakfast (7:00 AM - 10:30 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) served buffet-style, and cold and warm midnight snacks (10:00 PM - 4:00 AM) in the main restaurant "Symposio".
Optionally brunch from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the à la carte restaurant "Pacifico" (reservation required), lunch from 12:30 PM - 6:00 PM in the beach restaurant "Albatros" (restaurant with takeaway food), or from 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM in the Italian à la carte restaurant "Allegro" (reservation required).
Crepes, waffles, ice cream, and coffee from 8:30 AM - 10:00 PM in "Alegria". Tea time from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
Dinner optionally also from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM in the Mediterranean à la carte restaurant "Candia", the Asian à la carte restaurant "Royal Palm", or the South American à la carte restaurant "Pacifico" (each with reservation).
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as international spirits are available and included from 9:00 AM - 2:00 AM at the respective open bar.
Gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes are available free of charge upon request (please register on-site).

Beach volleyball, table tennis, fitness center, mini-golf. Yoga and Pilates classes.

Destination information - Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of accommodation and ranges from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
